S3E1 was pretty cool but Michonne's sword is over the top.

Remember that the base material is a comic book.
I'll be curious to see how much back story they provide for Michonne as it goes on.

For two seasons, I have been shouting at these dolts to get a few medieval-level pieces of equipment that would have drastically improved their chances of surviving hand-to-hand zombie combat. In one episode, they've now picked up two of them.
A sword, probably pilfered from some reenactor or collector's house: Check. A shield, either made from farm bits or scavenged from a police station: Check. A spear, which could be as simple as a Bowie knife duct-taped to a flagpole: Still waiting. |

Works for me.
Gerber actually makes an Apocalypse Kit, a collection of a half dozen or so sharpened implements which they cross-promoted on the show (Dale, I think, finds one in Season 1, in a car deserted on the highway). I've also seen a Zombie-Apocalypse-Ready knife, in which the pommel unscrews so the knife can be mounted on a threaded broom handle and, voila, it's a polearm. I don't remember if Gerber or someone else makes that, though. Zombies are not master tacticians. Even moderately trained humans, with a little preparation, should be able to take out at least 10 to 1. I'm putting way too much thought into this. |

It's fun, so **** it.
I have already designed a zombie round-up system in which very few bullets are needed. The prison on WD is perfect for taking them out one-by-one with no risk. They need to save their bullets for the still-living. |

The biggest obstacle, I think, would be the natural human reluctance to commit such a gory death on something that still looks mostly human. The protagonists of the show seem to have gotten way past that by now.
Well, and maybe the development of upper body strength, and finding untainted sources of protein to fuel all of the workouts you'll have to do. Swinging a baseball bat with force nonstop for hours is tiring as hell. |

I don't why they just didn't get them close to the fence and stick their heads instead of wasting all of those bullets

They need a flamethrower and a Molotov cocktail or two.

I too am having weird issues with DTV not recording. I've started pulling shows off of on-demand.

Yeah my Directv (or I guess I should say my brother's Directv) still isn't recording shit. I'd call customer support but I don't wanna be on the phone on hold for 2 hours like the other times I've had to deal with them.
My brother re-upped on a 2 year contract with them on the basis that we'd get the Sunday Ticket free and a new box. Well we weren't getting the Ticket on Sunday. I'm not even gonna get into what he had to go through with them just to get Sunday Ticket activated. It was unbelievable. |
