Jesus H. Christ, that Blue Jays lineup is stacked with power now. Not even sure how to line that up.
I guess I would go: Travis Donaldson Bautista Tulo Encarnacion Martin Smoak Colabello Pillar That's stupid. Guess at cost: Reyes + Daniel Norris (RIP your career, kid) + Dalton Pompey + Sean Reid-Foley.

Yeah I was about to post their lineup. I wonder if they might say screw it and just lead off with Tulo.
Tulo/Donaldson/Bautista/Encarnacion. Doesn't get much better than that. That's like a late 90's steroid era lineup. |

It'll be interesting to see Cueto against that jacked up offense. I would think the Blue Jays have another pitching move or 2 coming or WTF are they doing?

Yeah. Travis and Donaldson are both speedy OBP/SLG combo guys, so hitting them 1-2 is a pretty great start to things. Following that with some combination of Tulo, Bautista, Encarnacion and Russell Martin... wow.

If Guthrie is pitching in the Toronto series we may just want to not waste our time watching that one

I'm not afraid of the Jays lineup at all. Tulo has always been streaky and doesn't get the Coors boost anymore ... Plus he's a lock for 2 DL stints per year. The Yankees went down this route before. Super offenses don't work and don't win anything important. Great pitching always beats great hitting

I'll tell you what ... Yesterday I picked Toronto as the 2nd wild card. Today? I predict a collapse

The angels and Orioles both had fantastic offenses last year and what happened to them when it cooled down and October rolled around? Pitching and defense wins postseason baseball. Not a lineup full of HR hitters. Now, Tulo absolutely is a better defensive SS than Reyes. It's an upgrade, but scares me very little
