It's officially a bummer that internal scouts with the Royals convinced the FO to ship Manaea over Almonte in 2015.

Hopefully they're now all working for Pitt State.

Almonte has A+ stuff. Like really electric stuff. You can see why they like him. Manaea was always the more polished pitcher though. Almonte's only 24 though. I wouldn't completely rule him finished.

For sure, it’s just definitely a bummer - especially with the news they were already thinking about moving him to the pen in 17.
