Well we have neither a good QB nor a good organization. Our GM is kind of OK, but he's powerless to fix out goofy coach. And it seems our owner is looking to corner to soccer market and no so worried about football, so he doesn't really GAF what happens to his football team... He has no football pride.

But you tell your owner, Hunt's teams can kick his ass at soccer!

So there's that!

Sort of a strange comment. The NFL is fundamentally different. With more teams there has been some dilution fo talent, and with free agency it's impossible to keep the talent together for long.

All that matter is the performance when you play, and Brady/Belichick is the most dominant, long-lived, combo in NFL history.

You'd know more about all this than I would. The struggle is to find a very good or great QB, and about 20 or so teams in the NFL, at least, are struggling with that. It takes quite a bit of luck to get one. Either suck massively AT THE RIGHT TIME, or else have someone fall into your lap that is 1,000x better than anyone knew (Brady, Wilson, etc.).

The Chiefs beat the Falcons in their house, but it was about as lucky of a win as you can get. A pick six and a pick two in the same game? The Chiefs really had no answer for the Falcons offense at all other than those two picks by Berry.

Another thing is that the Falcons defense has improved immensely since that game. It won't be as simple as winning a shootout with them now.

yeah. I haven't seen many Falcons games this year, but I saw them crush the Packers today, and really get after Rodgers.

I'm worried that the Pats run game hasn't shown up at all in the playoffs. I don't know how good the Falcons pass rush really is, or how good their DBs are, but it definitely will be the greatest challenge the Patriots have faced.

I'll say this -- either way I expect it to be a helluva game -- not like these two crappy blowouts we had today.

What Hunt learned from his daddy is that 8-8 is fine, keep promising something, dress-up delays in sayings like "5 year plans", win many of the 8 games at home (keep the pawn natives happy), rotate the staff every 5-7 years (and claim that's a sign that you're trying - natives buy that shit), and make sure you don't piss-off the league. Why? Because you're Texan raking in money hand over fist for playing a very ****ing profitable shell game with people from Missouri caught in the middle. Oh, above all never actually stay in Missouri very long - you're a Texas kid, act like it.. So slip in and out of town like a Ninja in the dark, say nothing, keep the protective PR bubble around you and your seed, and remember the golden rule, "when it's time to fight, run like a mother****er and count your money until the PR team throws the natives the next bone."

The Colts were able to get the #1 pick the two times that there were once in a generation QBs coming out.

I agree the Chiefs need to finally man up and draft a QB. But seriously, the Chiefs get the #3 pick and the #1 pick during years where the draft class was terrible. It's amazing how that happens sometimes. Things just seem to work out for the teams that have all this success.
I agree it's just the Chiefs luck on those years they had top picks. But more effort is needed in the top 3 rounds at the most important position in football

I feel your pain. Before Kraft the Patriots had shit ownership -- the Sullivan family, and then the Orthweins, who only bought the team to try to move ti to St. Louis.

Too bad for us the Hunts won't sell. It's guaranteed money, it's a shit-ton of it too, and they get to meet gobs of awesome players when they come to town.

Under those conditions, who the hell would sell?

And no, you don't feel our pain. I appreciate you trying to make us feel better, but you can't feel our pain. You might be able to say you remember a time, a long long time ago, when you felt kind of like the Hunts have put us through for the last 47 years, with no end in site, but the kids of New England haven't got a clue what it's like!

That's why I'm back to being fine if Clark moves the team, but I know he won't. First of all he's too lazy. Second, there's no city like KC that's going to put up with 47 years of this bullshit. But a new start for this team might be what it needs to fix what ails it. I'd be fine with cheering for the Las Vegas Chiefs! Perhaps L.A. can support a 3rd team. Chicago can certainly support a 2nd team! But hey, this oil well isn't dry yet, so he isn't moving. So it's 80,000 screaming farmers and more 5-year plans will be the order coming out of our Texas boss...

Right, I get it. I can remember what I felt like when I was a teenager and young adult, 1-15 and 2-14 years and all, but I hear you. Those memories are pretty damn old at this point.

And Clark isn't smart enough to know when to throw a season, and wouldn't anyway. Next time we get a #1 pick, we'll grab another tackle. It's a Hunt family tradition.

Bullshit. And the falcons couldn't stop Alex Smith either. So **** all that "luck" shit. Alex Smith averaged 11 yards per ****ing attempt. The chiefs did what they do and forced turnovers. Even without the turnovers they probably would have won.

You have less football knowledge than ROR. It's embarrassing.

Tell me who we should have picked with the #1 pick that year.
