Horseshit. He did have a great defense, but Brady was no Brad Johnson level Super Bowl quarterback his first years in the game.

Stop trying to de-value Brady in an attempt to make Alex look better just because Alex's stats were in the same relative ballpark as his. You look ridiculous trying to do it.

I went ahead and did the legwork on how many come from behind wins each guy has, total

Alex = 16 career come from behind wins
Brady = 37

Since 2013 when Alex got here

Alex = 6 come from behind wins
Brady = 12

http://www.pro-football-reference.co...cks_career.htm

Not that anyone really needed to see this graphic to understand Alex isn't in the same league as Brady. Well, anyone other than TigerUpperBob, that is.

In most of those comeback wins, Adam Vinatieri drove the ball downfield to set up his own field goal.

But since you asked, I'll answer with a question of my own - In how many of those wins and Super Bowl victories did Brady bring his team back from behind as compared to Alex in the same time frame? We'll all wait here as you search for the answer.
.

Tigger and Dane(unfortunately)are full reerun in the football department these days, sadly. I love Dane, but here we go:

I spot Alex Smith PRIME YEARS, the following players:

Jerry Rice
Randy Moss
Wes Welker in the slot
Marcus Allen
The entire 2003 Chiefs O-line
The entire 1997 Chiefs defense WITH Neil Smith.

The result?

Reid gonna' Reid, and Smith gonna Smith.

Absolute Ceiling:

AFCCG LOSS.

There it is. The hard, unyielding truth that you must and will accept.

Good day sirs.

Alex Smith got to the NFCCG with a lot less. You underestimate him due to your bias.

You're not helping your case. I provided statistical facts that showed BB did not use Brady as a gun slinger in those first 4-5 seasons. thus he played like an elite game manager. Russell Wilson type numbers his first two seasons.

How is this hard to understand??

Tom Brady's first 5 seasons in the league -

2001 - 2,843 yds, 18 TD's, 12 INT's
2002 - 3,764 yds, 28 TD's, 14 INT's
2003 - 3,620 yds, 23 TD's, 12 INT's
2004 - 3,692 yds, 28 TD's, 14 INT's
2005 - 4,110 yds, 26 TD's, 14 INT's

Alex Smith's 5 BEST STATISTICAL seasons in the league (noting that Alex has started 16 games only three times in his 12 year career) -

2011 - 3,144 yds, 17 TD's, 5 INT's
2012 - 1,737 yds, 13 TD's, 5 INT's (10 games started)
2013 - 3,313 yds, 23 TD's, 7 INT's
2014 - 3,265 yds, 18 TD's, 6 INT's
2015 - 3,486 yds, 20 TD's, 7 INT's (noting he threw the ball 78 more times than he did in '14 for 221 more yards in '15)

And just for shits and grins, Russell Wilson's first four years in the league -

2012 - 3,118 yds, 26 TD's, 10 INT's
2013 - 3,357 yds, 26 TD's, 9 INT's
2014 - 3,475 yds, 20 TD's, 7 INT's
2015 - 4,024 yds, 34 TD's, 8 INT's
BONUS - Russell Wilson has the exact same number of come from behind wins in 4+ seasons as Alex Smith does in 12 seasons with 16

So in conclusion, get the **** out of here with this silly ass shit.

Man, I really hope you didn't spend too much time on trying to make that case that other QB's aren't as necessarily good as Tom Brady.
