Guns n Roses to reunite in 2016?

Dane, i thought you said it would never happen??

http://www.franchiseherald.com/artic...union-tour.htm

According to Blabbermouth, promoters and organizers are now cooking a possible reunion tour for the American rock band.

"Slash and Axl have verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band," the insider reportedly said. "The live shows are where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings."

"Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities. Details of the reunion are expected to leak out in the next few days. Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets, but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect."

And while no official announcement has been made yet, Alternative Nation, claimed that Slash may have been reserving a short summer time for a Guns N' Roses reunion tour, while his other band Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators is scheduled to perform shows 2016 and 2017.

According to a report from Jose Norberto Flesch of GNR Truth, the band has now ironed out any legal issues constraining the possibility of an original line up tour for Guns N' Roses.

"Heads up!" the report said. "The 'possible return of Guns' story is stronger now. I've heard that the legal issues have been solved. Now it's up to the band."

And to further strengthen the claims, reports suggested that Guns N' Roses has been offered to play at Coachella for quite some time already.

"Guns already has an offer from Coachella for a long time," the report said. "It was only a matter of solving their issues."

"European festivals are also anxiously awaiting for a resolution for all Guns related problems."

I guess it makes sense that Izzy cut some solos while they were in transition but I'd never heard that story before.

And as I previously mentioned, I definely thought the Appetite demos were cooler than what was released. They were much looser and Slash sounded more inspired and not as "mechanical", for lack of a better word.

And no one thought they were going to hit it big. Geffen gave them only $90k to record Appetite, which they quickly spent on booze and drugs, then had to ask Geffen for another $90k to actually record the album.
Exactly right-here is a nice link on wiki that tells some of the background for what most think is their biggest song. Not sure who wrote it-looks like it is pieced together from a bunch of sources-but seems pretty spot on.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_Child_o%27_Mine

You are the first person in decades I have heard mention those demos. I could not agree more!! I was and still am disappointed by what they put out on Live like a Suicide as there were better mixes to those songs and depending on the night-better versions all together.

Way back when I was in a local band, Toxin-we played a lot of GnR-but nobody knew what the hell we were playing. Used to love her, Nice boys, Rocket Queen, Its so easy, and Welcome to the Jungle-my base player was way into them. I think we even got booed. Then the MTV videos and seemingly over night-biggest band in the world.

I still have a copy of the Van Halen demos Gene paid for, lots of Rush bootlegs and sound board mixes, some Jimmy Page sound board bootlegs with the Yard Birds and other oddities-but don't have the GnR ones.

Believe it or not, the Troubador is an awful sounding room. Just awful. I've seen hundreds of shows there and no one has ever had an even decent mix. It's really boxy and boomy. The best sound is up in the VIP room, which isolated from the main room.

The Roxy is pretty bad as well as was the old Viper Room (I haven't been there since it changed ownership). The Whiskey was the best sounding room on the Strip in the 90's and early 2000's, IMO, but none were as good as FM Station or The Country Club over the hill in the Valley. Sadly, both clubs shut down years and years ago.

OK on the acoustics but that doesn't account for Axl being off key, off beat and his inability to hit the notes. However, I know it will sound great at Coachella. That Main Stage sound system is amazing. Huge sound, crisp sound. Boom.

Cell phone audio is a strange thing. I heard a clip on TMZ that sounded pretty good.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, none of my friends attended the show, so it's just speculation as to how good or bad they sounded.

Edit: Oh, wait. One of my Amp Guru friends was at the show, as he does Richard's amps (Voodoo Amps).

I'll check with him but I'm sure he's not too objective.

Double Edit: He's wasn't there. Someone just took pics of Richard's rig and the stage before the show started.
