We'll see if they can "win" their conference this time.

Either way, it's extremely amusing that the Big X was repudiated by the playoff last year and they are choosing to stay the course.

They're still top 5 in the state of Texas for sure, though.

TCU, aTm, Rice, and Houston all won bowl games last year, and Baylor and UTEP both had better records, but I don't think that necessarily means Texas is behind all of them. (Though you could obviously make a case for it.)

Right now, aTm, Baylor, and TCU are the big 3 in the state. Texas is probably fourth just ahead of Houston. UTEP, Rice, Tech, UTSA, UNT, etc. are all just hoping to become bowl eligible a few times over the next decade.

Players selected in the 2015 NFL Draft:

Texas - 5
Texas A&M - 2
Baylor - 2
TCU - 2
Rice - 1
Houston - 0

Texas might have had a couple down years (all programs do) but the road to glory in the state still goes through Austin.

Clay Travis wrote another "Texas is done in Texas" article today and was all over the A&M program again.

It's some great comic relief.

Not as good as the "SEC Network is going to pay the SEC billions" but it's very funny.

5 players drafted, and he still got slaughtered by a last place SEC team? Woof

Losing record against the SEC
Losing record against the PAC
Losing record against independents

Winning record against the Big 12
Winning record against CUSA

MU is 1-10 vs teams with winning conf records and hasn't won a league title in nearly 50 years (1 year more recently than KU)...

You also have a .513 winning percentage against KU.

This is the sport KU considers secondary.

If you're going to talk shit you might want to actually be better than the school you're talking to.

If you weren't such an asshole we wouldn't even know half the pathetic numbers about Missouri.

It takes you trotting out the same garbage over and over for people to research how terrible all the sports are at your university.

Texas was 0-3 against schools with a religious affiliation, losing by a combined score of 117-24. Glory Glory Hallelujah!

Texas isn't good in the conference. What the hell are you talking about?

OU destroyed your flagship last year and this year I still think TCU is scoring touchdowns.

When the bright lights come on the Big 12 clowns the SEC.

UMKC is Missouri's flagship hoops program. Remember what they did to you on your own home court this year?

Texas had a winning record in the Big 12.

National Championship Games featuring SEC vs Big 12...

LSU 21, Oklahoma 14
Florida 24, Oklahoma 14
Alabama 37, Texas 21

Cotton Bowls...no Big 12 wins in 12* years.

*represents the actual number 12, not to be confused by the 12 in "Big 12" which only represents 10.

Missouri is Missour's flagship program by default. Nebraska and Missouri are similar in that regard. All spending and effort goes to one school.

Nebraska has taken advantage of this gift by producing championships in a variety of sports throughout their history.

Kansas is split and also has a fraction of the population that Missouri does. KU is obviously a legend in their sport and KSU flew by Missouri in football with a bunch of hicks and farmboys.

You could spend a lifetime gathering research on the University of Missouri's ineptitude and write a 500 page book detailing all of it.

Unfortunately no one would read it. The school is simply that generic and uninteresting.

I mean come on...they're the 3rd most important "Tigers" in their own conference.
