I actually think you're enough of a bitch to play defense for the Huskers. You should call Dicknose and see if he can fit you with a Blackskirt. |

How great do we think Mizzou is? I have posted several times that I think OSU will give us a good scare this Saturday. I've noted that we could very well lose at Texas. How is Mizzou less-great than that? What metric are you attempting to use?

I think Phillips will be out of jail in 10 years or so.

I don't feel like the different sides of this discussion are actually making the arguments the other side feels it is.
I don't think most Mizzou fans are trying to convince anyone we have the tradition of some of the programs listed (maybe I am missing something?) but obviously have no problem feeling like we have the quality team we have. |

You do realize it's already been 7 years since NU has even beat a ranked team right?

Missouri is a great team, and any objective observer puts them squarely in the middle of the National Championship hunt. Clearly Mizzou doesn't have the tradition of Nebraska , but that doesn't mean that they aren't a better program. Clearly Mizzou is light-years ahead of Nebraska. Do you honestly believe that Nebraska will have more success over the next 10 years than Missouri? Missouri has the enormous built-in advantage that comes with being the only D-I school in a top 10 state in terms of D-I players coming out of high school. They have a coach who has proven that he can identify talent, keep it in state, and supplement that talent with out of state players when needed. Nebraska, on the other hand, is turning into a program where coaches go to die. They have no in state talent to speak of, and they used to make a living off of pulling players out of surrounding states including Missouri. Guess what? Those days are over. Why would a player from Missouri choose to go to Nebraska? Tradition? Ask the Husker players what they thought of tradition after Chase Daniel pulled down their pants and made them march in the Homecoming parade. Do you think that Saturday's game did anything other than shovel dirt on Nebraska's grave? |
