Either of those is possible. His role might also be "trade bait..." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's the best photo they can find of him? Who knew DJ Qualls moonlights as a minor league player.

Ervin Santana entering Shields done type territory? Numbers are down but still better than anybody but Duffy and Kennedy. Obviously it would be a Shields type trade with the Twins eating some of the contract. |

His teammates call him "Drago," so the Qualls reference made me literally laugh out loud this morning. Couldn't be two more opposite examples, could there? Quote:
I wouldn't move him for a piece in the Santana territory. He'd have to be part of a deal for someone more significant and likely with at least a few years of control. I don't think KC can swim in the Gray waters. Too many other teams that cover him with more to give. Quote:
Drew Pomeranz would be a pretty solid matchup. Think he has at least three years of control remaining. Don't think KC has enough to get Teheran and honestly don't know if anyone does. The Braves have gotten too used to trade raping the Diamondbacks to be a good trade partner for anyone... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's going to take multiple prospects to haul one of those guys, but would be well worth it as ALL of them are under contract for the next several years. Would LOVE LOVE LOVE Teheran. At 25, He's signed through 2020 at an average salary of ~$9MM/YR 2017-2020. He's The good Ventura, who can log 200 Inn/YR and without the baggage. The Braves are said to want Major League ready prospects for Teheran.

I'm lukewarm on Teheran. He's a fastball-changeup guy, and RH guys with that pitch mix have a tougher time succeeding in the American League. He's at the peak of his value and is outperforming his peripherals. They want a huge, huge package for the guy. Don't think KC can meet it unless they include Mondesi, and they can't do that. I had a really hard time with last night's lineup.
I thought putting Butera out there with a shaky Ventura (coming off suspension) was a dumb move on Yost's part. Maybe Salvy catching him wouldn't have made any difference, but I feel like it may have. |

He's had both good and bad games with both so I don't think it matters that much who the catcher is.

He has big upside - but hasn't got much O support since playing here in Atlanta - He'd do well in KC - I'd all but guarantee you that. |
