You're missing the big picture. He gains nothing by boxing again. If he loses to a chump (which he probably would) then he's a fraud, blah blah blah. He's already ruined boxing by going 10 rounds with the "GOAT". A guy Who is never boxed in his life professionally almost went the distance with the greatest of all time. He exposed boxing for what it is. Again, McGregor won lol this isn't rocket science look at it from a business perspective. You can still get punched if your turn your back, just not in the back of the head. That's the same in boxing and MMA. You just have to come up and under with an uppercut instead.

All Conor did was expand his brand, but it should be obvious to anyone who watches boxing that he didn't belong in there.

He'll make FAR more money in MMA moving forward than Boxing. He's far more likely to win and there's nobody else in boxing with Mayweather's earning power anyway.

This was about the two biggest box office draws taking the big box office fight. I have no idea where people get this idea that 'most' boxers are swimming in huge money.

Alvarez and Chavez are due to earn about the same as Diaz and McGregor did, and Conor is the A side there. He can draw money in a fight against a box filled with donkey dildos in UFC.

Conor is still under contract to UFC so any boxing match would have to be approved by them. Boxing is strictly prohibited in a UFC contract (as well as kickboxing and pro wrestling), unless the price is right obviously.

That fight was not as close to 'going the distance' as you think.

It was obvious by round 4 Conor wouldn't make it to the end. Floyd extended it.

Conor could take his punches, but his stamina sucks.

Floyd wasn't punching early though. He wanted Conor to punch himself out and then he walked him down, eating his slower weaker punches, until conor was drowning.

Floyd did exactly what I said he would to finish him. Walk him down, eat his punches, and keep the pressure on.

The only difference from what I suggested is floyd spent the first 3 rounds letting Conor get tired.

He could have finished it in 4 with the same strategy, but doing it this way he took almost no damage whatsoever and gave the fans a bit more of a show.

I'm missing the big picture? I'm sure McGregor wants to build his own empire. So taking that into account with the added variable that he is in a career that does not favor longevity. His best bet is to move into boxing where the real money in fighting is. 2 fights every 18mos. and he still makes 10x the money that he does in MMA or WWE.

He sells well. Boxing money is going to be calling. That's all that matters at this point.
