Guns n Roses to reunite in 2016?

Dane, i thought you said it would never happen??

http://www.franchiseherald.com/artic...union-tour.htm

According to Blabbermouth, promoters and organizers are now cooking a possible reunion tour for the American rock band.

"Slash and Axl have verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band," the insider reportedly said. "The live shows are where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings."

"Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities. Details of the reunion are expected to leak out in the next few days. Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets, but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect."

And while no official announcement has been made yet, Alternative Nation, claimed that Slash may have been reserving a short summer time for a Guns N' Roses reunion tour, while his other band Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators is scheduled to perform shows 2016 and 2017.

According to a report from Jose Norberto Flesch of GNR Truth, the band has now ironed out any legal issues constraining the possibility of an original line up tour for Guns N' Roses.

"Heads up!" the report said. "The 'possible return of Guns' story is stronger now. I've heard that the legal issues have been solved. Now it's up to the band."

And to further strengthen the claims, reports suggested that Guns N' Roses has been offered to play at Coachella for quite some time already.

"Guns already has an offer from Coachella for a long time," the report said. "It was only a matter of solving their issues."

"European festivals are also anxiously awaiting for a resolution for all Guns related problems."

Those are Rolling Stones prices, and they have 50 years of legendary status with many willing to pay to see them one last time before they keel over.
It was pretty full, but the Stones didn't sell out Arrowhead last summer. And they ended up giving away 100s of high-dollar tickets.
This ^ Chesney did and so did Swift-but they are huge right now.

Monsters of Rock-back in the day with VH, Metallica, Scorpions, and Dokken did not completely sell out Arrowhead.

I was burned before by Axle- never again.

Was that suppose to be Mr. Brownstone?

Sounds like a tribute band.

Most don't realize Izzy did a majority of the solos early on until Slash really came into his own. Izzy was so underrated -his guitar sound was just nasty. GnR was never as good without him.

Got in on a pre-sale today for the Guns show at Arrowhead. 2 Floor tickets (section J) in the back was going to cost $350.10 plus a $27.00 Parking pass. Up front floor and lower levels (section 103 for example) were $250 a ticket plus Ticket master fees. Club level 240 2 tickets $242 with fees. Couldn't bring myself to spend that much.

I can't claim to know everything that happened in Hollywood back in the day but I've never heard this story.

Upon moving to LA, I met a guitarist one night at the old FM Station in NoHo and became very good friends with him. He had been asked to join Poison before CC (the original guitarist's girlfriend became pregnant and they moved home to PA), GNR before Slash (after Tracii left and they tried a bunch of guys) but turned them down because he thought that his band was going to be signed and hit it big (never happened but he was part of a few bands that got deals).

Anyway, he had a cassette of the demos for Appetite and IMO at the time, it was better than what was released. It was even rawer and Slash's playing was much better.

Back to the point: I'd never heard from anyone, whether it was Slash or Duff or Tracii (our kids were in preschool together for 3+ years) or anyone else in "the scene" that Izzy had ever been the lead guitarist for Guns. He even had a lead guitarist in the JuJu Hounds, who I saw a few times because they were signed to Geffen when we all shared a building (Geffen Records, MCA Records and MCA Music Publishing) on Forest Lawn and Barham.

We used to rock on GnR back when they were a bar band. My friend lived out there and used to haul equipment around for the bands there, was a bouncer, sound guy and worked around a lot of those bands. Somehow he got several bootleg recordings of GnR when they still had Guns in the band and also early Slash. What I always heard was that Izzy and Axle did most of writing in between guitarist. Izzy wrote all the music-including some fill in solos. When Slash came in he reworked all the solos and added extra off-setting rhythm tracks-which became early bootlegs they passed around to music execs. I am not sure Slash wrote anything on A4D? Other than rework and make the old songs better that they played for years before finally getting a deal. Yes Slash is and always was the Lead-but without Izzy writing those great songs-they never would have been so big.

We rocked out on those bootlegs for years- some of the songs became side one of Live like a Suicide released in 86 I think. My friend wore those out to a point that is all he played. Then like 5 years later I was at a party and my girlfriends younger sister-yelled turn it up I love this song-and it was the Welcome to the Jungle video. Everybody was loving the "new" band.

To me this will Always be Guns and ****ing Roses.

Cool, man! IMO, GNR wouldn't have existed without Izzy, as he wrote the majority of the Appetite album. Slash is a co-writer on a few, with Sweet Child O' Mine being his biggest contribution.

I guess it makes sense that Izzy cut some solos while they were in transition but I'd never heard that story before.

And as I previously mentioned, I definely thought the Appetite demos were cooler than what was released. They were much looser and Slash sounded more inspired and not as "mechanical", for lack of a better word.

And no one thought they were going to hit it big. Geffen gave them only $90k to record Appetite, which they quickly spent on booze and drugs, then had to ask Geffen for another $90k to actually record the album.
