First off... I know his health is most important. And I know all cases aren't the same and his sport is not as hard on the body. But a reason for optimism is that Jon Lester the pitcher got diagnosed in August of '06, and in December of '06 the lymphoma had completely remissed and he made it to spring ball.

Again I know his health is most important.. I just hope to see him back healthy and doing what he loves

FWIW, Mario Lemieux returned after radiation for Hodgkins and put up the best per-game numbers of his career in that season, and after falling behind in the scoring race by 12 points, won it by 12 points.

You know what? Ive actually met Eric on several occasions when I worked for Rocco and Nate in 2012. I also worked for the Chiefs when the Jovan Belcher tragedy happened. In fact leaving from work one day I saw Jovan and Cassandra fighting in their Bentley as they left the practice facility,which was the Wednesday before the tragedy. Eric has always been pretty cool to everyone. I wish nothing but the absolute best for him.
