I think some of you are forgetting the cap savings of cutting with Cassel. That's probably another 7 million.

I'll also add that if Pioli doesn't make a serious move at quarterback this offseason and goes into next year with Cassel and the offense gets bitchslapped because of it, there is no way Pioli deserves a second contract.
He will have ****ed us, big time. If we can't sign Peyton, they better make a move for RG3. The only other guys I would be ok with bringing in would be Orton (there was a time when talking about Orton was a little exciting because it meant no more Cassel, now it's depressing due the real possibility of signing Peyton) or trading a late rounder for Moore. Flynn is another Cassel type move that I have zero interest in. I'd be ok with Tannehill, but only if we sign Orton or Manning. Henne isnt the type of guy that we need to take a chance on....say.what you will to me, but I'd rather go the Stanzi route than sign Henne. |
