Country Club Plaza = Bannister Mall part 2?
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - More than 100 teens converged on the Country Club Plaza Saturday night and created a ruckus for patrons and a lot of work for Kansas City police officers.
Read more: http://www.kshb.com/dpp/news/local_n...#ixzz2tczs9I7u Stories like those about the plaza have been rolling in for the last year or longer. At one point there was a shooting and they have put a curfew in place I remember years ago bannister mall area was thriving. Hypermart and all the other surrounding stores were very popular and always busy. Crime slowly strangled the area and people chose to go elsewhere. The whole place turned into a ghost town. Obviously Cerner is building there now but the question I pose is simple There are a lot of options other than the plaza around KC so... Will the Plaza die the same way the Bannister area did? |

Pussies. If I can be a semi-regular at Danny's Big Easy at 18th & Vine, surely you can all stomach an integrated crowd at the plaza. There's always been crime there, and there always will be. Kids are idiots. When the shootings, robberies, rapes, and vandalism become commonplace, then you can start to worry. This is a well-run city, and they aren't stupid. They aren't going to let a main tourist attraction of an up-and-coming city in the heartland that sits right on the edge of one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the United States be overrun by barbarism. Loosen up the Velcro on your geriatric shoes, you old bastards.

It's the business. When I wanna watch a 40 year old woman dance in her chair to damn good blues music while I eat fried catfish and sip a mint julep it's easily my go-to.

Most people are not on the plaza this late during the week but damn stories like this have to impact business.
http://www.kctv5.com/story/32550291/...s-in-the-plaza KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - Police in Kansas City are on alert after four robberies in the Country Club Plaza area overnight. They happened within an hour and a half time span. They all happened just a day after investigators said they were looking into a possible link between crimes in the area. The first happened at East 43rd Street and J C Nichols Parkway at 12:15 a.m. Police say two people were taken into custody in that case. The next robbery happened at West 40th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue at 12:33 a.m. That was followed by a third one behind Tomfooleries Restaurant at West 47th and Jefferson streets at 1:27 a.m. A fourth robbery happened less than a mile away at East 45th and Main streets at 1:41 a.m. Police have not located suspects connected to the last three robberies. Kansas City Police Department Capt. Stacey Graves said on Tuesday that, although robberies are happening on the Plaza, there’s not necessarily an increase in these incidents. Police say the robberies usually involve people who are just walking around the area and not break-ins into cars or homes. While there aren’t a lot of visitors to the Plaza at the time of the robberies, it's when workers at some bars and restaurants are getting off the clock and heading home. |

It will only effect pussies from Johnson County. I jog the plaza/westport all the time it's a good area minus the annoying homeless people.

Robbing bartenders and waiters makes a lot of sense. You know they have cash on them.
