***OFFICIAL Chiefs vs. Bengals Game Day Thread***

Based on a little discussion in the other thread, I think FAX needs a break. And anyway, with Mahomes, we don't have to rely on luck and mojo for wins anymore, so it seems fitting that starting the game thread should be an honor shared by many.

So if for no other reason than it's almost 12:30 and no one has started it yet, here's a game thread. In Mahomes we trust. Amen.

I know I was at these & I might have been at a couple before 1969. We always went to Donko games & they were always blowouts.

I think Andy planned the 45-10 score from Thursday just to show the Broncos that we could match their game score against a much stronger team. He's toying with them.

My God we play the Cardinals at home in a few weeks. We might win that game by 65 points

It's given me something to live for...I need to live until Mahomes is enshrined in Canton & I can die a happy man.

You probably were.

1963 - 59-7 over the Broncos
1963 - 48-0 over the Jets
1966 - 56-19 over the Broncos
1968 - 48-3 over the Dolphins
1967 - 52-9 over the Broncos
1964 - 49-6 over the Chargers

Let's put another Broncos victory on this list next week.

The biggest issue with Alex Smith was that his hesitance to push the ball down the field allowed opposing defenses to dictate to the offense a lot of times.

They just can't do that against Mahomes. As I said earlier, if you rush him and flush him out of the pocket, he kills you. If you keep him in the pocket and play zone, he kills you. When he takes off scrambling, if you close on him, he goes over the top. If you lay back and try to cover, he runs for the first down. He's the epitome of keeping defenses honest.

The offensive play design tonight was outrageous. One of the better games Wally has ever called, IMO. There were guys wide open all over the field.

There was literally nothing that defense could do. And, as usual, the enemy DBs and LBs began to visibly tire midway through the 3rd.

At this point, I don't think there's a team in the league that looks forward to playing defense against the Chiefs ... or even wants to try. DCs are going to be more confused as the season unfolds. Looking for answers to an unanswerable question.

There is nothing flukey about his success IMHO. You watch guys like RG3, Kaep, or D-Watson beating teams with their legs. Mahomes only scrambles so he can throw downfield and his vision is amazing.

He certainly can beat them with his legs if he feels it is necessary, but it's not the first option for him. Makes it tougher to defend him compared to some of the other guys that have burst on the scene in recent years.

So, where has this defense been all season? If this defense would have showed up last week we would be 7-0.

Yeah, the thing is that any of those guys if you said 'name a hole in his game', there were answers.

Name a hole in Mahomes game.

The MOST you can say is that he's young, hasn't seen as much, so he can be fooled by various rush and coverage looks... but he's so ****ing smart the clock is rapidly ticking away on that shit. The guy is Favrino.

ESPN gave Mahomes 90.7 for their QBR stat tonight. Guess it would have been pretty close to 100 without the INT, lol

As a guy watching the game in Vegas with a 2 pick parlay Chiefs -6 and Chiefs OVER 56, I'm just a tad disappointed with this win.
