Ummmmm....

Last year they won 11 in a row and broke the playoff curse. They were somewhat clutch last year too. Credit to the character of the team and staff.

Haven't heard much but a few weeks ago they mentioned he had it scoped which, apparently, is a good sign. The article sounded optimistic that he'd be back by week 17 as originally scheduled.

Commentators love talking points. It doesn't make them valid. The Chiefs are 20-4 over their last 24. They are also 20-9 over their last 29, and they also could easily be 4-8 in 2016 despite being no worse than the team that is 9-3. Citing the first only is sports talk laziness meant to inspire hot takes.

I don't know if this team much better than the team that got bounced in the Divisional round last year.

I do think the competition is worse than last year's AFC. If we can win the division and avoid Pitt, we perhaps could get deep into the playoffs.

I still am not sure if Andy and Alex can win it all, but if they keep playing to win like they have since the 4th quarter against DEN, I like our odds at least a little more than I did at the beginning of the season. Sure, we'll need luck on our side, but that's no different than the Super Bowl winners in each of the last two seasons.

I understand concern for blood pressure. I just came to the realization that if I'm watching something live I want drama. Maybe it's all the naps during Baseball and Basketball games that inspired my epiphany.

If wins come easy, then it's just something to tick off on a Sunday afternoon. Rake the leaves, mow the grass, watch the Chiefs stomp a mudhole, ho hum. . .

They always have a chance, if they catch enough breaks, and if Smith plays well enough to not hurt our chances. But the fundamentals for this offense and defense aren't good enough.

You aren't going to win every week on defensive touchdowns and people getting away with PI that should be called, and field goals doinking in, and WRs handing Peters footballs, and questionable reviews like the Jacksonville game, and etc etc etc.

Everything is going right for this team right now, and it's a lot of fun to watch them. People here are getting way too carried away that this team is a great team. They are battling and have been drawing nothing but aces lately.

Team has some belief in itself, that fills in for skill gaps or coaching blunders. It's why they didn't fold in these tight games where they could have easily lost. Just as important to me is that they're fun to watch.

It's a nice occasional sorbet. I enjoyed the heck out of the 'day where nothing could go wrong' against the Raiders a couple years ago, or the implosion of the Donkeys last year.

So long as they're wins, it's a little like arguing the merits of a Rolls Royce versus a Pagani, I'll admit. Either way, it's a quality ride.

But there are many teams that are "just this close" to being much worse than they really ended up being.

Give me a team with luck every day....all you have to do is look at the luck that the Royals had last year with the WS Championship run.

All of our aces on the field have been countered by 2 5 off suit in the injury report.

You avoided what I really asked or maybe I didn't word it correctly.....before those games did you think they had a chance? What did your posts before those games lean toward?

I'll be the first to admit I thought they would lose at Denver, but I thought they could beat Atlanta because their defense was as bad as the Chief's offense.

What an awesome game to watch here in Atlanta!

The only thing I didn't like is the cluster**** getting to and from this dome.

There is truth in this but can we give some damn credit to the defense for the take always? I mean let's pretend they didn't play with any heart and those didn't happen. This team isn't where it's at. It's a team sport. Winning with defensive scores is still winning. The defense has an bend don't break mentality and clearly it's been working. They forced a field goal and a turnover in the red zone that otherwise would have gone for more points today. Offense played pretty well. Let's enjoy the win and stop thinking this team sucks cuz it's not blowing teams out. The NFL isn't built for blowouts in fact most games are usually close.
