Yea that seems unlikely. If they suspended him for eight games it would CLEARLY be purely demonstrative and it would certainly get knocked down on appeal - and I mean like to 2 games. They only suspended Watson six games for sexually assaulting dozens of people.

Hell, the fact he's even confirmed at the damn scene should get him 2 to 4 games regardless. Both cars under his name and he's on camera walking away from the scene of the accident. That street race doesn't happen without his explicit involvement.

Jalen Carter was not an NFL player at the time and thus wasn't subject to discipline.

overreaction drama queen...He was lucky and made bad decisions. This will probably be a wakeup call. No way is the NFL giving him more than 4 games, most likely 2, for traffic fines and a misdemeanor. The NFLPA will make sure that precedent isn't set.

Yes, as we stated before, many speculated he was smoking weed. In hind sight leaving probably saved him a lot more trouble. Still not a good choice, but he will be checked by the Chiefs and the leaders on the team and this likely was a pretty hard wake up call. It's called getting lucky. Hopefully he realizes this and it sounds like he probably does. Most young men in their early 20's did something really stupid that they got away with out of pure luck that would have ruined their future or killed themselves if something bad would have happened. It is what it is, he knows he ****ed up, time to deal with the consequences and move on.
