I think he sees how this season is going to work out and isn't giving 100% because of who his QB is.

He's in the middle of his $117 million dollar contract. His cap hit next year is $25 million and they can't cut him realistically until 2020.

They will replicate a lot of what Denver did (and they had a lot of success) minus the inexplicable and brain dead play calling in the 4th. They will disguise their fronts to make the post snap decision making on the RPOs harder for Mahomes. They will disguise their coverages to make his pre-snap reads more difficult. They will be physical with the receivers at the line. No doubt that Bill will be able to throw much more exotic and confusing looks his way than Vance Joseph was.

The breakdowns in last year's meeting were the same kind of breakdowns we always see from New England early in the season. They clean that stuff up by October, and now they've had 10 days to prepare. Against most of what the Chiefs do - the way they stretch the field horizontally with misdirection and jet motion, which sets up their vertical plays - you need perfect communication, eye discipline, and being able to stay on your keys. the Pats are usually very good at this stuff.

Most importantly, they will limit KC's possessions by running the ball a ton against that horrendous run defense.

Are the Patriots borrowing Von Miller and Bradley Chubb? Shit....are you borrowing ANY ****ING PLAYER from their defense?

The Broncos played the best they could have played in that game....and still ****ing lost. Your team is next.

Broncos have a bottom 1/3 defense this season.

Heard on my local radio this morning:

Since 2001, the Patriots are 23-0 at home vs. QBs who are younger than 25....

Mahomes has already done a lot of stuff that other QBs haven’t been able to, specifically for the Chiefs.

Not worried about stuff like that.

Yeah ... the nogs are all over that factoid. I think they've only lost to about 3 or 4 in the last 20 years or something, too. Something like that ... I don't know ... some wacky stat designed to frighten women and children.

How many of those "young" QBs were The Human Trebuchet, though? That's what they leave out of their little backtracking algorithm.
