@AdamSchefter: Chiefs are expected to trade CB Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, sources tell ESPN. Teams are in final stages of talks and barring an unexpected snag, the trade is expected to be agreed to as early as today.

@AdamSchefter: Marcus Peters to LA Rams trade is now officially agreed to, per source; cannot be processed until March 14. But Peters expected to be a Ram.

They didn’t want to invest in him and I kind of get that. Depends on the picks coming back and what you do with them. He was really good in spots but he’s also a mental case which really isn’t all bad in football. I’ll wait and see. Super talented football player but I get the decision. Keep in mind none of us have to deal with his drama.

Kicked off his college team, fell to the Chiefs, now gets traded. This isn't hard to comprehend stop being a baby.

Surprising to read this... would have to imagine KC gets a nice return in the trade. Wonder if it's just draft picks? I can't imagine it being the #1 and they don't have a #2.

Round 1: L.A. Rams (23rd)
Round 2: None
Round 3: L.A. Rams
Round 4: L.A. Rams
Round 5: L.A. Rams
Round 6: L.A. Rams, Buffalo, Detroit
Round 7: Baltimore*

Just saying that it is best to trade him and get something because he wasn't going to re-sign is an easy out.

Maybe that's true.

But maybe things happened that led us to that point. It could be Marcus Peters, and he obviously brings a lot of stuff to the table both in talent AND temper. But it also could be a franchise that unrealistically expected him to fit the Chiefs mold where we're more interested in winning "Man of the Year" than MVP.

The whole kneeling for the anthem thing may be a factor. Think of all the military that is in our "Chiefs Kingdom": Ft. Riley, Ft. Leavenworth, Whiteman AFB, Ft. Leonard Wood, Offutt AFB. Personally, I think Peters has the right to silent protest, but the Chiefs PR staff and CHunt may see it as a slap in the face to the military. CHunt is a major GOP donor. I'm sure Andy had to sign off on this. Looks like he picked Sutton over Peters, since they were screaming at each other last year. If you're going to trade Peters, he's at his zenith in trade value right now. We'll certainly miss his ball skills, but he carries a lot of baggage. I'm just glad he went to the NFC West instead of the Raiders.
and the raise the roof guy. Ugh

Yea it would be completely stupid to use an option and a tag to get him till he's about 30 at a position that declines at about that age, no we trade him now.

Yes lets trade all pros god knows we have good enough CB's to make this move uh huh.
