Free Clay from Ban Jail!

Do the right thing and free Clay from ban jail...

Not everyone will Truly Live.

This is Chiefsplanet...Not Chiefscrowd or some other shit hole homer site. We have come here as free men. FREE MEN YOU ARE. What will you do without freedom?????????????

Today I ride. I shall return when freedom is won. I cannot stay in a land where there is tyranny and oppression for some...and freedom for others...

No one was going to ban clay UNTIL Foles actually saw some action...and even then ...No one actually was going to ban clay until Foles was getting a start. All you weaklings celebrating this ban are just scared of the truth....and not even that its 100%..but just the THOUGHT that Clay might be right...and that there may be no drop off on Sunday against a decent passing defense.....Just the thought that actually Foles might do OK or god forbid have a great game....thats enough to make you want to ban the guy. I mean the vegas odds didnt even move when they announced Foles was gonna start....you think of that?

Why? Because we all can see what might happen--- Foles has a decent game, not even a great game....just decent. Actually it wouldnt even matter if Foles threw 4 TD's and lit it up...we will go back to Alex smith because it is the safe/right move at this point in time...

But the nagging thoughts will be there and the doubt will creep in and Clay will be there with funny gifs and videos to remind us of some alternate universe that might have been...and eventually ALex will falter....we all know this...whther its getting knocked out of the game or losing in the playoffs....it will happen and it doesnt even matter if its not ALex's fault....The boogeyman (Clay) willl blame it on alex and make some decent arguments and throw out some more funny videos....and numbers ...and youre not funny, witty or entertaining enough to deal with his posts....

So its better just to ban the guy because surely preventing him from having his moments is more important than you facing the reality that he might be right. You dont have the guts to wait and see if he is right or wrong and stand by your 'boo' because you don't believe. You know the inevitability of what will happen....you know deep down clay has bested you...so rather than laugh it off and let another guy 'win' you shove his nose in some shit and pretend this isn't happening.

You all cheered clay on when he did the exact same routine against cassel....you all cheer AIDS and little kids getting their feet cut off and people dying....theres NOTHING in the faq about wishing injury on players..or celebrating injury on players....we all know thats not what this is about. Lets at least be honest here. Hes now cheering against your guy so now its ok to be outraged...when he was making anti-cassel vids , guy was a a hero.

took me 5 seconds on google to at least get a start

When you add someone to your ignore list on a vBulletin forum, this script will hide the stubs (things that say they posted) and will also remove any quotes. It will not remove listings from the "thanks" line, however.

Added a button to clear the list, and refactored the code a bit.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if he hadn't become a caricature of himself or at least his online persona. It's like when a popular character on long running show becomes nothing more than a vehicle for a catch phrase or the same bit.

He went from voicing his dissent in pushback to completely just over the top and contrarian for the sake of itself to be different or to simply troll. Highjacking the majority of threads you participate in doesn't equal sparking discussion especially when you have to sift through pages of nonsense just to find posts actually on the original topic.

6 months seems harsh, except that he's not going to abide by it regardless.

You are not a man of subtlety. I easily have 50+ hours over the years trying to improve it. Some of those scripts out there have my name on them. They still suck.

I guess theres nothing more to be done then.

I personally think doing 2 things:

1) Making the ignore feature better from Vbulletin's end, something along the lines of the vbulletin hack i posted above....make it as 'good as you can' even if not perfect.

then

2) having a faq to point people to with some resources for using scripts with their browser to improve upon whatever your end can do.

I think personally if you did those two things, then you could spend a lot less time banning trolls and worrying about people getting into it with each other. Just point them to the FAQ. To me it seems like 50 hours well spent...but hey...

just one man's opnion
