Albert missed 9 games the past two seasons.

Hudson is a ****ing CENTER.

JFC, you guys act as if the Chiefs just lost the 2007 Tom Brady.

The second most important position on the offensive line.

We're about to find out just how valuable he was.

It's such a valuable position that the Chiefs used a 2nd rounder on Grunhard, signed an undrafted free agent in Weigman, used a 2nd rounder on Hudson and a 2nd rounder on Morse.

Wow, almost like a Franchise QB.

Or just spend Alex's ill-gotten gains on Albert and Hudson.

Now Alex actually has to prove himself to get $ and their are no (or fewer, at least) OL excuses.

Well, considering Albert is always hurt...might as well include Stephenson too at LT. He was hurt in KC a lot...seems to be continuing the trend. Letting Albert roll freed up $$$...part of cleaning up Pioli's cap. If they had kept Albert...they definitely wouldn't have had the money to sign Hudson or probably Maclin. This shit always happens in year two...look what Chip has done in Philly. It will happen in Denver next year too...Last season was a wash...but look at the cap going into 2016. Props to Dorsey... Chiefs took their lumps in 2014.

I'm reserving my opinion about the O-line until preseason game 3.

Well, Albert would be a non-factor because he's injured yet again and it's his legs again. I'd be willing to bet that he's pretty much done at this point in terms of being even a halfway effective NFL OT - which is what he was on his best day without injuries.

Hudson we should have kept. He was our draftee, had very good synergy with Smith and was on a complete upswing at a young stage of his career. His cost was prohibitive, but people here seem content at throwing the same amount of money at Evan Mathis for a position that we could get by with what we have versus the Center position, which seems to be a dumpster with a homeless bum throwing old newspapers in it and holding the match.

The 3 to 3.5 people have suggested giving to Mathis is a much different figure than the 9 million per year Rodney Hudson got.

I liked Rodney, but that's just too ****ing much. Doesn't matter if your cap situation is good or not.
