Time to call your shot - predict the Chiefs' 2015 record for the season

We've seen about as much as we're gonna see of the team before the games count. I always think it's fun to lock in your predictions before the season. Assuming we can find this thread again in a few months, it will inevitably be bumped to either laugh at or cry about.

Here's the schedule:

Sun, Sep 13 @ Texans 11:00 AM
Thu, Sep 17 vs Broncos 6:25 PM
Mon, Sep 28 @ Packers 6:30 PM
Sun, Oct 4 @ Bengals 11:00 AM
Sun, Oct 11 vs Bears 11:00 AM
Sun, Oct 18 @ Vikings 11:00 AM
Sun, Oct 25 vs Steelers 11:00 AM
Sun, Nov 1 vs Lions 7:30 AM
(bye)
Sun, Nov 15 @ Broncos 2:25 PM
Sun, Nov 22 @ Chargers 6:30 PM
Sun, Nov 29 vs Bills 11:00 AM
Sun, Dec 6 @ Raiders 2:05 PM
Sun, Dec 13 vs Chargers 11:00 AM
Sun, Dec 20 @ Ravens 11:00 AM
Sun, Dec 27 vs Browns 11:00 AM
Sun, Jan 3 vs Raiders 11:00 AM

(Yeah, I'm in a thread-starting mood. Bite me.)

If Reid was as lucky as he is questionable, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

Again.....not ****ing sure if serious......

You suit up 53 men for a reason. No, they aren't as good as your starters, but God ****ing dammit, YOU DO NOT RUN YOUR PLAYERS INTO THE GROUND.

Dontari Poe has played damn near EVERY SNAP under Bob Sutton. Oh, what's this? Poe needs back surgery this early in his career? How the **** did that happen?

You rotate guys in, SITUATIONALLY. This is something Reid and Sutton both struggle with. This isn't ****ing Madden. You cant just turn the fatigue off and keep your 1's in there for the entire game to play every single snap without having some very bad after effects.

If your offense is super anemic and repeatedly going 3 and out because your head coach is too ****ing stupid to hand the football off for one yard to keep the drive going, you have to have a snap counter in your head for these guys. If your D is out there for 60 snaps in a game because you forgot your offense at the airport, then you have to start rotating guys in. Its a very simple, very basic ****ing concept. Not sure what you're struggling with here.

That said, it is infuriating to see a team as loaded as KC has been( and will become even more so under Dorsey ), continue to be denied true greatness( and performance/playoff consistency )because some ass hat in the coaching, FO, or ownership box continues, for far too long, to choose the safe route in filling the QB position.

People like OTWP didn't leave because of some jank-ass nonsense about poster/content conflicts. They left because they got sick and ****ing tired of watching the Chiefs shoot themselves in the ass by being cowards regarding the man behind Center, and then listening to the usual bevy of apologists make excuses about it.

In any event, Dorsey will not **** around with this conflict for too much longer that I know. He'll see his guy, and he'll move whatever mountain it takes to get him.

In short, I'm more jazzed about the future than the present.
The only way that happens if Reid is no longer here. I never bought the whole 50/50 thing and Clark will be the fie breaker shit.

Alex has to retire at some point, and I don't see Dorsey sitting around saying, "gee, fatass and senator hair; what bargain gems can I find for you in the trash rounds now"?

Admittedly, the overall talent level at the position is not what it used to be in terms of available talent, but the truth is still the truth:

Your best shots are in round 1 and 2.

We won't win the West until we can get past the Broncos. If we can't do it this season, it likely won't happen.

Okay. We will revisit this by the end of the season. I'm of the belief that the depth being improved will help.

On the flip side do you see Reid not hand picking the QB at any point? Im sure he would take Dorseys opinion into consideration but that's as far as it goes.

And what's funny about this is as much shit as Reids handpicked QB receives here, Reid gets overlooked continuously for handpicking said QB...

Whoever flips the coin is immaterial. The point is, Dorsey is going to push for the move itself, and he is GOING to get it.

Wait for the regular season games to start. Most come down with a case of homerism in the preseason.

The Chiefs are literally two or less pieces and a QB away from being one of the very best teams in the NFL.

We're stuck with both for the next couple of years, so crying in every post about either/or or both is just vaginal.

Pull the rag out and enjoy what you can.
