I'm not even talking about Sean Smith. I'm talking about the guys behind him.
We haven't had sufficient depth at CB in any year of this regime an it's been a big part of our downfall every year.

Josh Norman signed a 5 year, $75 million dollar deal with $50 million guaranteed. He's slightly younger than Sean Smith, who signed a 4 year, $40 million dollar deal with $20 guaranteed.

Essentially, Norman got a three year, $50 million dollar deal or $16.5 million per and Smith received a 2 year, $10 million per deal.

I know you're busy pumping up those killer biceps but if you can put the weights down long enough to allow the blood flow to your brain, you'll see that Smith is a barely above average corner while Norman is considered elite.

I hope you don't pop any blood vessels in the process.

It's difficult to address every single starting position, along with depth, in a three year span when missing two second round picks and the salary cap.

Not sure why you feel the need to be insulting for a simple disagreement. Grow up.

Smith was a top 10 corner in the league and I don't care about contracts. How many penalties did Sean Smith get in 2014? That team didn't allow 1 300 yard passer and he was the #1 Corner on the team. The Chiefs gave up a historical amount of points before Smith came back this year. No way he's overrated.

If Smith wasn't suspended Flemming doesn't get picked apart we absolutely win the Denver game and the division. They would beat anyone at Arrowhead.

Billay the refs were going to call illegal contact till Denver scored anyway. Two or three bullshit calls in that final drive on third downs. Losing the Chicago game was a ****ing joke and Smith was on the field then when they gave up TWO late TD drives.

If, if, if.

I don't believe that Sean Smith is as irreplaceable as many seem to believe.

He's overrated.

And the Chief offense was nothing short of awful until the Detroit game.

Had the offense played the first six games as they did for the majority of their next 11, they wouldn't have been 1-5, regardless of whether or not Sean Smith was on the field.

Yup.

If Smith is playing, Manning doesn't rape Fleming down the field 4X for an 80 yard drive and tying TD.

No.

You have absolutely no definitive proof that the Chiefs would have won the game with Smith instead of Fleming.

Dude why can't it be both? The OL sucked, Andy made shit calls and Fleming got raped.

They all attributed to the 1-5 debacle.

You, Billay and several others have indicated all year long that they Chiefs went 1-3 to open the season due to Sean Smith's absence.

That is clearly untrue.

The Chiefs offense was nothing short of awful until the breakout Detroit game. Had they been able to score more than 17 points against Denver, it's possible they may have won. Had they been able to score more than 7 field goals against the Bengals, they may have won. Had they been able to score more than 10 points against the Vikings (with Sean Smith) they may have won. Had the defense been able to stop Jay Cutler on the Bears final drive, the Chiefs would have won.

Sean Smith's absence wasn't the reason why the Chiefs opened 1-3 and eventually, 1-5. The offense was far more complicit than a single cornerback and all of the "Sean Smith was so awesome and now the Chiefs are ****ed" people have it all wrong.

Despite the offense struggling, we had a 7 point lead in the last minute of the game vs Denver and Manning proceeded to embarrass Fleming again and again and again to tie the game.

It was a huge problem and having Sean would have given us a way better chance to seal that win.

The zebras weren't letting us win that one. It's easy to do that when bailed out with multiple illegal contacts on third and long.
