Pretty ok with this. I dont think it solves as many issues with consistency and drops, but clearly we get a much better athlete out of it. I do think he’s an upgrade over Mvs because it feels like Mvs is a pure straight line runner. We tried getting him going on jet sweeps and quick screens and he just doesn’t have that kind of short field shiftiness that Hollywood has.

I still think we need to get another reliable target but with 2 legit WRs in rice/hollywood you can look for value. Just get mahomes a guy who can run the correct routes and catch the ball even when it’s not a perfect strike. We’ve put way too much a priority on athletes over guys who have feel for WR.

Weird, I feel like that's EXACTLY what we'd be doing with Hollywood.

I’m cool with Brown so long as we also take a WR early in the draft. Doesn’t have to be a first rounder but no later than third would be perfect

Maybe, only, if you sign Hollywood to a 1 year prove it deal and just love Worthy that much for future years... Otherwise, they are way to similar.

Hollywood finds spots in zones, he runs to where the ball is supposed to be going, and he catches it... MVS did none of those things very well. That right there is an immediate improvement which should lead to more production out of that spot.

We signed MVS at 3/30 and paid him 11m in 2023. I don't think we should bitch if Hollywood comes in 3/42. He'll cost us less than MVS in the 1st year for sure.

Mooney's 3/39 had 26m guaranteed and breaks down to 7.5/14.5/17. Would probably put Hollywood at 9/15/18

The Chiefs aren't selecting Worthy if they sign Brown, because they serve as the same function as the quick and fast player who's undersized. The Chiefs will be aiming for an LT

I kinda do too. But I don’t mind having some of these guys around and I certainly get the purpose of Mvs clear outs. The problem is asking role players to go beyond their role or putting too many specialists on the field at the same time. I’m ok as long as we add another reliable option.

If you have rashee, kelce and one other target absorbing targets and running complete route trees you can use Hollywood the way he’s intended. As a boom/bust option. If skyy was even a tiny bit decent he could have done that. Since he’s no good let’s find good value in free agency or the draft to fill that

Hollywood Brown has actually developed into being a pretty good WR.

They are probably better off signing Brown and then address LT in the draft in the first and whatever receivers there are when they pick in the 2nd.
