Alex Smith just wins!

Props for the QB who always finds a way to win. Things weren't going our way in the first half but he didn't quit and found a way to lead us to victory.

While I won't make any silly comparisons that our WRs aren't any more stealthy than me, but the truth is evidently these guys simply aren't fast enough to do what other team's WRs do. They may have comparable 40 speeds without gear on, but in full gear, with cuts included, with a QB that needs more separation to be willing to make the throw, they can't get the job done well enough, fast enough, to make a difference. And 40 speed means little in terms of holding on to a pass.

Hill might be the fastest player we have, and he's wonderfully exciting, but we need to help him.

We'll see, and I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but there's a lot to overcome if you're a coach and you have a game manager who's claim to fame is not throwing Int's (but not much else) as your on-field general.

Well of course not, not after a single game. And frankly, I doubt four more gets him yanked.

I mean in terms odd offseason roster planning. Keep playing like this and reid well will replace him our at least look around to see what can be done.

He can't play like that going forward. That was down there with some of Cassel's worst efforts.

Alex Smith did not win that game. Not even close. What we have here is an on-going signal that all is not right with our offense. Our production in any measure (TDs, yards, etc) is horrible. And Alex Smith isn't helping at all. In fact, he's holding this offense back.

No doubt our WRs have dropped a ton of balls, but Alex just cannot generate scores and that's mostly on him. How any wide open guys in the end zone did he miss today? And I mean wide open!

Anyway, I wouldn't get too enamored with our 18-3 record during the regular season. In my view, that's simply hiding the fact that this offense sucks and something needs to be done to get it fixed. We're winning despite our offense.

Personally, I think something's wrong with Alex physically, and it was that way before the non-concussion hits he took a coupla weeks ago. His running seems uncharacteristically slow this year. He seems to have little zip in his step. What's with THAT?

Time for Andy Reid to take a good hard look at this offense and get it fixed before it costs us big time. So far, we've been damn lucky to win without any semblance of an offense.

Fat chance Andy does anything. Alex has no business starting it won't change this season unless Dorsey pushes him to do so. He won't so we are stuck with this turd that doesn't lead us to the end zone but maybe once a game. Who the hell would continue to play a QB that can't get the offense to the end zone but once per game on average. We would and we are probably the only team that would.

All other starters get more scores from their offense than us except may be Cleveland.

Yes, Smith played a poor game today, but no honest person can say this was typical for him. Normally we get a "B" standard of play from Smith although today was an "F"

Andy Reid and his moronic play calling and clock management are this team's primary problem. Lack of discipline and flags by offensive linemen are another - which is a discipline problem which is also Reid's problem. The run defense is another problem. Smith is way down the list.

What are we supposed to do, play Foles? Foles had us all clammoring for Smith last week. He's washed out of two teams before with plenty of playing time. He is not the answer.

Bottom line, Smith is our QB... ride or die

If that were our only option is the last 4-5 years, I'd agree, but the team owns not looking for a long-term option at the QB position. They spent their way into that being Alex, and all the while the fans saw what they refused to see. It's pretty sad when the fans are more right than the team, and we don't have their inside information either.

DEFENSE WINS RINGS
The old saying actually states that offense wins games, defense wins championships.

It's rare that a team that can't score points on offense wins championships.

It's a team game, and, for the most part, including this game, this offense is not holding up it's end.

It's not great because you can still see the person's name by a hidden post.

It's not like they just disappear.

DaFace has tried to code it so people are hidden completely but it's difficult to do.
