In some ways yes, but in other ways, no. I like the Chiefs and Andy Reid, so I have no interest in them getting punished for something so stupid, and which, let me think carefully -- about 100% of teams do. Nor do I have any real interest in seeing them get punished MORE than other teams that get caught doing the exact same thing. But I **do** like some Chiefs fans becoming acquainted with Roger Goodell's version of "justice", which they thought was fair (LENIENT, EVEN) when applied to the Patriots, despite being grossly disproportionate to any penalty ever handed down before, and now acting outraged when the same thing happens to the Chiefs. Frankly, I honestly think Roger Goodell is a terrible commissioner. He makes shit up as he goes, has no interest in fundamental fairness or what punishments were given before, and then expects everyone to kneel at his feet. It's EXACTLY why he keeps LOSING before every independent arbitrator and judge that challenges his ridiculous rulings, but he doesn't give a **** and just keeps plowing along.

Right, because New England has NOT received the harshest penalty in NFL history for an equipment violation, despite THE WELLS REPORT SPECIFICALLY EXONERATING THE COACH AND REST OF THE ORGANIZATION.

I just think it's funny... the tampering charge seems pretty petty to me quite honestly. You can't tell me with all the signings that happen the minute FA opens that there wasn't some tampering involved in each one.

The Chiefs' history has been relatively free of cheating compared to some other clubs. But like the old saying goes.....

Is anyone surprised by this? Everyone knows Reid has clock issues...not a surprise it extends itself to calendar issues as well.

This sucks for KC fans. However, would you have traded those two picks for Maclin? You bet your ass you would. Not that I think it's fair for you to get this penalty.

Oh it was absolutely worth it. Especially because he was so good and important. It's also a petty thing to tax KC so badly for. Everyone does it and the league knows it.

Hopefully we appeal and they reduce the penalty from a 3rd and 6th to a 5th and 6th or something.
3rd is just too dam high Andy Reid should have known better.
