Berry needs to pull a Devin McCourty, especially given how the FO handled that whole cancer thing, and take 9 or 9.5 per year. Give yourself the best chance to win it all for them. They stayed in his corner, paid his full salary last year. Stay in ours.

Interceptions aren't everything. The only time I can recall Berry even burnt bad this year was last game against the best quarterback and tight end in the league. And that was one play. Berry is the most versatile safety in the league. He's the best strong safety when there, and top 2-3 at free. Depending on what you think of Mathieu. Berry not still learning the position

I love Eric Berry and beating cancer and playing at a high level in the same year is phenomenal.

But I don't think the Chiefs should pay him $11 million per season and I think he has a feeling he'll be elsewhere in 2016.

I agree with this. Not that much $$.

Dorsey has found a cheap effective safety every year. He can do it again if Berry really wants that much.

I agree with DJ that he needs to stay due to chemistry, but good Christ the Chiefs could probably bring back Abdullah and Branch for like 1/3 of that and still be solid.
