Damn. I realize I'm still annoyed by the playoff loss because I'm currently OK with letting all these assholes walk.

Berry needs to pull a Devin McCourty, especially given how the FO handled that whole cancer thing, and take 9 or 9.5 per year. Give yourself the best chance to win it all for them. They stayed in his corner, paid his full salary last year. Stay in ours.

That is part of the equation along with how tight he is with Justin Houston. I bet Berry is a Chief for his whole career.

*sigh*
Berry is a fine defender, one of our best. Eric Berry and Cam Chancellor are probably the 2 best strong safeties in the entire league. Romeo Crennel ****ed up royally by playing Berry in the box the first part of his career. Berry is still learning the Free Safety position because of it.

I love Eric Berry and beating cancer and playing at a high level in the same year is phenomenal.
But I don't think the Chiefs should pay him $11 million per season and I think he has a feeling he'll be elsewhere in 2016. |

Berry is a slow and small coverage safety but one of the best at defending the run. His story is great but his coverage is not

Dorsey has found a cheap effective safety every year. He can do it again if Berry really wants that much. |

I agree. Great dude, good player.. but he's really not irreplaceable on the field. I hope he works out a fair deal to stay, but you know how it is.. no one can feed their family on less than 8 mil per yr.

Would you pay $11m avg a year to him?
I agree with DJ that he needs to stay due to chemistry, but good Christ the Chiefs could probably bring back Abdullah and Branch for like 1/3 of that and still be solid. I want him back but not at that price |

Lol dudes on here acting like he can barely play. You realize how many potential big plays he kept in front of him?
No, you don't because they didn't happen. |

Berry/Smith/Howard are all going to be overpaid, but we have to keep at least 2/3 bc this team has to go all in on a SB run.
