Toronto Bluejays

Okay.

This team defines what a good team is. Did you see that folks? The Jays went into Yankee stadium and spanked them 6-0.

I'm feeling awfully good right now....And you know what? I'm gonna feel even better when they go for the sweep tomorrow. I'm feeling high fellas from winning. Now I could see how you guys felt last year when you went on that winning skid and came within a game of winning the World Series. That's just an awfully good feeling, eh? I empathize with you. I know I will this year

You know what's interesting guys? When a lot of critics, like yourselves, heh say we have pitching issues but guess what? Since the all-star break, the Toronto Bluejays have a 14-6 record with team 2.71 Era which is best in the majors.

Fellas, I can't help myself but when you're this good, all I gotta say is:

JUST.

BRING.

IT.

This is what I'm saying.

He's sitting there, on his PC or smart phone or whatever reading this.
Takes a drink of his molson ice.
Looks at his
Maple leafs jersey that hangs next to his Jays banner.

Throws ash tray at said banner. Misses, (like the Jays relievers) and hits the window. Glass snows down upon the tiny chihuahua his GF made him buy.
Dog yipes.
Kicks dog.
Dog flies out of said broken window.
GF comes out... "WTF?"
"Hey there now, eh? Sorry buddy. Chiefs planet pissed me off guy! I'll buy you some Kraft Dinner and a new mini dog next week, friend!"

Exactly. A high stakes game with something truly meaningful to play for, but not all-in stakes.

Hopefully, they will come out relaxed and excited to be playing for something again, because part of me thinks their September record was in part a byproduct of boredom.

Great tuneup game for the playoffs.

Plus I'm extremely interested in seeing how Cueto comes out and performs with a little pressure knowing what's at stake for getting a win.

All this talk of him not being a guy who handles the big time when the spotlight is on and the stakes are raised.

A good performance out of him tomorrow could be a great step towards getting him on track mentally for his playoff start!

Also, will be interesting to see how the Twins come out and play now that they're eliminated. Are they going to be motivated to play spoiler to the Royals? Admittedly, there's probably no or less bad blood between KC and Minnesota than any other team in the AL even though they're in the division. Plus, if I remember correctly, I seem to recall Minnesota was one of the teams that took issue with Toronto for some alleged sign stealing.

They just might have more interest in sticking it to the Blue Jays than trying to pin a loss on the Royals?

You think for one moment that bricks is sad or pissed?

I'm actually quite amused. The 161st game doesn't matter. The fact that you guys are cheering because Jays lost Rays in hopes that bricks would be sad and down is funny. It's funny because that is your parade.

Meh. Jays made the playoffs. Home field doesn't matter. Best team wins anyway. That's what it will be be fellas

I think they play hard. Going to have to earn it. Good news Cueto's on the hump. Bad news Cueto's on the hump. Can't predict any consistency with the guy. Thats the frustration with that trade he just hasn't been lock down except for the one complete game. Its time he stepped up.
