From a projected long term status, I think Dorial is probably the pick. Upside wise, he has something you aren't going to be able to get in every draft. With Devin Smith, I'm not sure you can say the same.
However, I don't know that Dorial ever hits said upside. |

With DBG's size, general athleticism and ceiling, I have to think that his off field issues and personality are bigger problems than the fans realize. If he checked out as a 'good person' who made some dumb kid mistakes he would have been taken in the first.

It's the number of things combined with sitting out a full year, IMO, that is dropping his stock.

Would be a good TED backer, probably not a viable replacement for DJ.
If you get McKinney, you're probably a better run defense and probably even a better overall defense for this season, but next year you're looking at still needing a DJ replacement and those are few and far between. It ain't Mauga.

Lots of talent left, I'm overwhelmed by all these choices.
Still, I'm gonna lean towards defense. I'm hoping that the Chiefs take an ILB. Look, DJ is gonna turn 33 and is coming off a major injury. Hopefully he stays healthy and at best he probably has a couple of years left. They need to not only draft his replacement but get an ILB that can also help improve this run defense right now. A 28th ranked run defense is unacceptable and has to improve leaps and bounds if we want this defense to be deadly. We need a guy that has a serious nose for the football. To me, I like Eric Kendricks best. But, I don't think he'll last by the time we pick. I'm for trading up to get him. He is the pick that would make the most sense. |

I'd take a Wr first and see what happens or has happened with Kendricks. If he gets past our pick, I'd go up and get him.

I want Denzel Perryman he is the intimidator in the middle that this team needs this D is close to being elite. With Perryman this D becomes scary good.

I've been fooled but big damn WRs that go fast in a straight line before. I thought Jones would be a matchup nightmare that we could never hope to deal with. Turns out he was truly truly terrible because he simply couldn't run a route. Now I don't expect that DGB would be quite that bad, but Jones also busted out due to character concerns that surfaced and a piss poor work ethic. There are more similarities between Jones and DGB than I'd like to admit.

Is today the day that Dorsey continues his WTF picks in the 3rd round? Not saying they don't end up being good....but people end up going WTF when he makes his picks.

I say this as a Mizzou die hard - my initial reaction would be to go Tyler Lockett.
But when you think about it, Lockett is listed at 5'11 - and we already have two smaller WR's in Wilson & Thomas. Maybe, if he's there, you take DGB to groom for a couple of years and grow into the position? I don't know. Kid has silly potential, but he didn't run great routes in his two seasons at Mizzou (and is rumored to have a shaky work ethic) and essentially got by with just running past people. He won't be able to do that in the NFL. |

The ultimate thing is that alot of these big busts at Wr's just weren't developed very well. I think Dorial, like Marcus Peters, couldn't fall into a better position than here with this coaching staff. |
