Hootie wanted to trade Shields and Holland straight up for Tavares in July. After we made the playoffs I asked him about it and he refused to buckle. Just sayin

While I have no faith in Peavy as I stated before the start of this series, one has to think that is bochy's thought process as well.

its going to be tough for KC to win 2 in a row now, as much as I hate to say it..simple math does not bode well..(from KC perspective) even if you put each individual game as a 2:1 favorite for KC....the totality of the math still makes it probable that SF wins 1 of 2 8-( not giving up, by any means...just acknowledging the difficulty of the circumstances

someone needs to explain to me what was terrible about my take
Vogelsong pitched 2 and 2/3 and the Giants got lucky our pitching staff shit the bed yesterday. Otherwise we'd be 3-2 back in KC. Vogelsong was exactly who I said he'd be. |

I guess it's about your thought process with madbum. Even if the giants had lost game 4, then still got tonight from madbum, they still would have confidence going back to kc. From a series perspective, it didn't make any sense to me to burn up madbum early if you had a perfectly rested vogey and petit available.

a perfectly rested Vogelsong was a colossal fail of a start by Bochy, and the Giants were bailed out because the Chiefs pen couldn't get it done (and Vargas).
If you have a bona fide MLB Ace, you pitch him 1 4 7 if you're losing the series come game 4. |

why was that a terrible take?
we were up 4-1 and our vaunted bullpen blew the game and Yost didn't go to Davis early enough IMO It's over. Vogelsong did exactly what I said he'd do and our pitching staff imploded. The Giants are good and IMO they got lucky in game 5 that we did something we haven't done all postseason long. I'm over it. I'm going to enjoy the last 1 or 2 games of the baseball season and I'll be proud of the Royals either way. I'm done being angry. I'm just going to pull for our boys and whatever happens, happens. Not gonna waste another second in this thread arguing something that I was 100% right about. |
