That behavior is hardly limited to PC gamers.
That's pretty standard across all platforms.

So, I started playing Firefall the past few days. I had tried it out a few years ago when it was still in beta and didn't really care for it. But I am enjoying it now. Think Borderlands with jump jets and without the quirky humor — in a large persistent world with motorcycles and hang gliders.
It's free to play, and there really is no pay to win. I did throw a few bucks at it, however. I like it better than Warframe because of the open world aspect. It's fun riding around on my motorcycle to get around and then hopping off and blowing shit up. I'm sure it will get repetitive at some point, but it's worth a try if you haven't played it or if you played it a while back. Don't cost nuthin. And it's on steam now. |

***Sigh*** I picked up Unity today against better judgement and I've played it for about an hour now...
You know what? If you can look past some of the early release glitches and the fact that all the Frenchmen speak with british accents, it's pretty good so far. I'll let you know what the final verdict is after I give it a thorough play through. |

The Wolf Among Us - PS4
I got home early the other day and I was going to stop in and buy the latest COD release for PS4. However, I was cruising the Playstation Store and came across The Wolf Among Us from Telltale Games, (based on the comic book series Fable). Telltale is responsible for the bestselling point and click game version of The Walking Dead.
I wrote up TWD a few weeks ago and gave it a very high score. It's a compelling story that really grasps the franchise in game form. I figured if this game was given even 1/2 the effort by Telltale, it would be well worth the 25 bucks. The story is as follows, (I'm going to try to keep this fairly spoiler free but beware): The story takes place in a seedy part of New York in the mid 80's. Your main character is the director of Security/Sheriff Bigby Wolf, AKA The Big Bad Wolf from the fairy tales Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs, etc. Your primary job is to protect a neighborhood full of fairytale characters that were transported to New York from their former fictional home due to an oppressive government, (I think, they didn't get into it much). Bigby is investigating a series of murders and he finds out that the level of corruption in their town goes much higher than anyone could imagine. Anyone that's already familiar with Telltale can expect a top notch effort here. The storyline is amazing and very compelling, the graphics are better than TWD, really. They captured a depressing, dark and gloomy area of New York perfectly. The characters they decided to utilize from childhood fairy tales are gritty and interesting. Here's a few examples... Georgie Porgie is a trashy-tattooed pimp that runs a strip club, Tweedle Dum and Dee are enforcers in the 'fable mafia' Jack Horner is a con man, Snow White runs the local business office, (interim mayor) and the Little Mermaid is a prostitute. You interact with trolls at the trip-trap bar as well. I have no doubt this series is destined for good things. I have to give it a solid 9.5. My only complaint is the replayability and overall length, (about six hours). Telltale games don't have a high replay value anyway so I knew what I was getting into. I highly recommend this one if you're into movie-style games. It's a great story and the chicks in it are pretty sleazy-hot. |

I loved The Wolf Among Us so much. Even better than TWD season 1 which I also loved. Telltale just released a teaser for their Game of Thrones game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur1Q...ndex=1&list=WL I am still only on episode 3 of TWD, however just the fact that Kumail Nanjiani is part of the voice cast has bumped my impression of this game immensely. I love that dude.

Ubisoft is scum of the earth company. Maybe now that this happened they will clean up their act.
But probably not. |
