PackerinMo...
I read your post during the week on your fantasy picks for the Brickyard - However, not knowing the drivers that were in the groups you had to choose from - My guess, you relied more on past winners at the track and did not consider that a couple of the drivers you picked did not win a single race this season.

JGR has to get their set-ups together. Matt Kenseth has not won a race this season -
Kyle is still lucky that he has won one or two races before Gibb's cars began to experience problems on the track.

@PackinMo:
I understand choosing drivers weekly is a hard thing to do because of the sequence or development of events on the track during the race - Elite drivers running consistently in the top should also be considered. However, the following links might provide some help: http://www.jayski.com/news/stats/sto...Active-Winners https://gamingtoday.com/articles/art...0#.U956EJvD85s http://www.racing-reference.info/pitstops/2014-20/W Pit stops - 5 pit stops drivers came out on top of drivers who chose 6 pit stops. I give fantasy players a lot of credit for their due diligence each season. A lot of work...

Garbage like this affects drivers and owners:
No. 11 team docked for Indy infraction - Crew chief suspended for six series championship events http://www.nascar.com/en_us/news-med...penalties.html The infraction was a P5 level infraction with P6 level infraction being the worst a team can commit under NASCARs rules and regulations. I believe it dropped Hamlin to 21st ? (from 11th ?) in the points standings. Per Section 12-4.5 B, the minimum P5 penalty includes: Loss of 50 championship driver and owner points, regardless of whether the violation occurred during a championship race or not; $75,000 to $125,000 fine; Suspension for the next six series championship races, plus any non-championship races or special events which might occur during that period, for the crew chief and any other team members as determined by NASCAR; Probation through the end of the calendar year for all suspended members, or for a six-month period following the issuance of the penalty notice if that period spans across two consecutive seasons. It had to do with something blocking air flow inside the car that would create more downforce of the car, if I remember correctly.
Hamlin finished third in Indy.

I agree its a very harsh penalty, I can't make a judgment call though if it was too severe or not. I don't know how much it would effect the car or anything.
