Game of Thrones *Spoiler* Thread
There's been some recent confusion with the old spoiler thread, so I'm kicking off a new one for tonight's premiere. This is going to be the one for folks who've read all the books. So anything anybody might want to talk about is in bounds. Suffice to say, if you haven't read the books, you'll probably want to stay out of here until you do...
I'll bump the old spoiler-free thread shortly in case anybody's interested. For future reference the link to that one is here |

I loved (and hated) the trial from the point Shae showed up. Seeing it twist Tyrion, seeing him realize how it was all a scheme from his dad to manipulate Jamie, seeing Tyrion finally completely turn on his father and sister. The whole idea of him burning everything down now out of hate.
The final scenes between Jamie and Tyrion are going to be amazing. And watching Jamie slowly turn against his family. |

Oh, the week after next is "The Mountain and the Viper". That's what I'm going to hate seeing. I can't wait to read reactions to that. I guess this season's gut punch is episode 8 rather than 9. They've done a great job with Oberyn.
Episode 9 is supposedly all Jon Snow and Mance Rayder. "The Watchers on the Wall". It's the Neil Marshall-directed episode, apparently single-location like Blackwater (which was also Neil Marshall). |

Good episode, I wonder if they're going to follow Tyrions escape just like the book, God I hope so

I bet they find a way for Tyrion to completely piss off Jaime as he escapes, though. |

Man, there is still a shit ton of stuff to cover in the next four episodes! Hell, they still have to kill off half the cast over this next 4 hours:
1) Red Viper 2) Gregor (sort of) 3) Hound (sort of) 4) Ygritte 5) Shae 6) Tywin 7) Lysa Arryn 8) Balon Greyjoy Should be awesome! Plus they have to battle wildlings, get Jon elected NW Commander, and Jorah and Dany have to part ways (seemed like Tywin is going to rat Jorah out as a former spy to cause trouble for Dany). Maybe even an appearance by Lady Stoneheart??? Can't wait for next week! |

Not true, Tyrion tells that Tysha story in dramatic fashion to Bronn and Shae in Season 1 right before the battle where he gets knocked out (on the show) and misses the battle.

I was waiting for her to say the bit about "My giant of Lannister". That to me was the worst part of it in the book.
I wonder if we find out what Cersei gave her (a mansion and a knight in the books IIRC) before she dies in Tywin's bed. I think they need to vilify her a little bit more before Tyrion strangles her. Although maybe just being in the Hand's rooms will be enough. There can't be any sympathy for her at all or the reaction to Tyrion's act could be split. |

I'm only through season 2 of the series, but so far at least, she hasn't used that phrase at all, whereas she used it frequently in the books. If she never says it in the series, it won't have the same impact in the books. Quote:

I think she said it a couple of weeks ago (this is season 4), but I may be mistaken.

With her accent I can't really take anything she says too seriously, and Oberyn asking her if Tyrion had his way with her took me out of the moment a bit. When Tyrion asks her to please don't that's when it made me look forward to Episode 9.
