I commend you for being realistic about the state of KU football. Guess that fluke BCS win wasn't enough for everyone. ...especially the recruits.

A BCS win is a BCS win, regardless of how....

But KU football's arrow is still trending down... Can Bowen change that? Maybe, but its still years away from being competitive.

And the lack of a football championship game in the Big tenelve is just laughable in todays college football...

This. Remember when the B1G used to catch all that shit for not having championship games and sending sub-par THE Ohio State teams (or any of the others) to get slaughtered in national championship games? Yeah.

Seems they improved their division. By a full 20 spots!!!

But wait!!! When they left, Colorado and Nebraska were already gone!!!!
So if I remove their ranking, how would it work out?
Taking the three teams left, not named Mizzou, you end up with an average ranking of 64.6.

Interesting, your beloved Sagarin has proven you wrong. Sadly, this is all a reflection of kU's 123 ranking. Without that anchor, it's actually not a bad division.

One of the craziest posts in this thread, and that's really saying something. MU didn't leave the Big 12 North. They left the Big 12. There was no division setup when they left and there would be none had they stayed. They bolted and gave up the 10th slot to W Virginia. And said "We be steppin up to da big time!"

Turns out they stepped down from where they'd have been. Simple fact, until and unless the SEC Least stops sucking

Mizzou joined the SEC. That's a step up in terms of prestige and exposure.

West Virginia was a part of the Big XII before Mizzou left. Even if Mizzou had unofficially decided to leave prior to that, Neinas was still threatening legal action against the SEC, so they still planned on Mizzou being a part of the Big XII with West Virginia. At the time, the Big XII was still after Florida State and Clemson, as well. So they were clearly working to get back to XII until spurned by anyone worth a damn. So there would've been divisions. We can argue over how they'd have been realigned, but that's just opinion, as we don't know.

Either way, when you factor in the two games Mizzou plays vs the West, we still have a tougher schedule than we would've had in the Big XII (along with more $, better exposure, better bowls, etc).

What? Most Big12 schools have had tougher schedules almost the entire time since realignment, and have been making more money.

Also, I'm not sure why any of this matters or why this pissing match it still going on?

You literally just engaged in said "pissing match." That is why it is still going on.

It was just a couple years ago, you care about it more than I do so you can find it. Pretty sure it was the year we beat Iowa in 3OT though.

"The Big 12 remains slightly ahead of the SEC in the Stats & Info Conference Power Rankings after another strong weekend in non-conference games."

"
Overall, the Big 12 is 25-3 in games outside its conference, the best record of any AQ conference. "

2012, like I said it was pretty recent, and we've been right up there as the second best conference about this whole time since realignment happened.
