Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.
A few quick ground rules:

Next Sunday cannot get here soon enough. Love t his weeks show and the Tyrion play at the end. Will be fun to see who Tyrion picks as he chamption. I am assuming he will not pick Bron or Jamie but not sure who else it might be. I am assuming they are going to have to fight the Mountain. He seems like House Lannisters go to guy for stuff like this.

The guy they cast for the role of Gregor Clegane could actually pass for a "Mountain That Rides"...

Not sure on the rules but that would be interesting. Not sure if they are picked they have accept or not either. That would certainly be a chance for Oberyn to get his revenge that he seeks. I know it most likley cannot happen but it would be great to see a Hound vs Mountin fight.

I am kind of expecting Jamie to be the person who fights for the crown. I could see him actually fighting Tyrion and them saying it is fair because they are both disabled.
I also like the idea of Prince Oberyn fighting for Tyrion too though. I cannot wait! This episode went by very fast. It felt like it was only about twenty minutes. |

Tyrion had the conversation with Oberyn when he first came to the city. He knows that Oberyn wouldn't be able to deny an opportunity to kill the Mountain, especially in a setting that was "sanctioned" with no consequences should he win. We also know that Tyrion thinks out of the box in this situation (Bronn was a risky but brilliant choice back in the Eyrie).
Even in a worst case scenario (Tyrion dies), Tyrion will ruin his father's plans. He is one of only 2 males to carry on the name, and with his death, Jamie most certainly hardens his stance to remain in the King's Guard and not serve his father's desire to marry and have children. So Tyrion is taking an awful situation and creates two alternatives with which he can "win". He either lives and goes free, or dies and ruins his father's plans for the House's future. |

I don't think I have gotten any significant event prediction accurate yet so I am trying to get really out there.
