2019 NFL Draft Tidbits

It's getting closer so I figure we could move some draft talk to the Lounge.

Charles Robinson usually has some good tidbits on stuff so heres a thread on some stuff he's hearing.

249 lbs.

that's a 3-4 rush end.

We just sent two of those away.

Look at the DE's we signed: 275 lbs. give or take. That's your new prototype.

Winovich, Allen, somebody like that are more the type.

A light rush end is possible, but I doubt they'd burn a high pick for it.

Ultimately, we have bo idea who Veach is obsessing over look at last year's draft with Speaks, Nnadi, and McKenzie.

Which could very well be Omenihu, though Ferguson will be a rotational guy IMO with his remedial quickness.

We will be targeting tall DL with run stopping talent/build with pass rush upside and long arms. That’s what Veach seems to like/target.

Worth it at pick #29 AFAIC.

that's true; but I think we can extrapolate a little from what they've done in Free agency.

Polite will be the steal of the draft.

He’s going to fall like crazy.

When it comes to the 1st round pick and beginning with the Dorsey Era KC has put a lot of emphasis of their decision on standout players in the Senior Bowl .

Which is the reason I've been harping on Omenihu and Sweat.

Sweat doesn't seem to fit the size they're signing; and for all his ridiculous athletic measurables, the tape doesn't show a dominant player. Probably moot point as he'll be gone before #29. He's a 3-4 rush end, I think.

Omenihu I like although his tape is uneven.

I quite like Zach Allen and Winovich.

I included Montez because the Chiefs met with Sweat as part of their 60 allotted interviews at the Combine
