Except I'm not. I'm not assuming anything.

I literally don't care what moves they make to replace Ford or Houston. I just don't want them on the team anymore. I'd rather see that money spent elsewhere.

A prime Earl Thomas is going to be more impactful than a prime Landon Collins.

Collins is a really good player. A potential all pro player.

But as we just saw multiple teams do last year with the free agent safety class, you can go get a guy that may not be as good as Landon, for a hell of alot less money and have the other money to improve other areas.

Except he won't.

NONE of these free agents are going to eat up $16M of their team's cap in 2019 except Ford.

That's the issue. If Ford is such an essential piece to a Super Bowl in 2019, there's literally no reason to not just give him a contract.

Unless of course you're worried about inconsistency or injury and well, now you've made my point for me.

Because one is going to get a deal with the guaranteed money spread out over 3 or 4 years.

The other is getting $16M guaranteed NEXT YEAR. It's all in for 2019 and if he fails, so does the team.
