Guns n Roses to reunite in 2016?

Dane, i thought you said it would never happen??

http://www.franchiseherald.com/artic...union-tour.htm

According to Blabbermouth, promoters and organizers are now cooking a possible reunion tour for the American rock band.

"Slash and Axl have verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band," the insider reportedly said. "The live shows are where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings."

"Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities. Details of the reunion are expected to leak out in the next few days. Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets, but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect."

And while no official announcement has been made yet, Alternative Nation, claimed that Slash may have been reserving a short summer time for a Guns N' Roses reunion tour, while his other band Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators is scheduled to perform shows 2016 and 2017.

According to a report from Jose Norberto Flesch of GNR Truth, the band has now ironed out any legal issues constraining the possibility of an original line up tour for Guns N' Roses.

"Heads up!" the report said. "The 'possible return of Guns' story is stronger now. I've heard that the legal issues have been solved. Now it's up to the band."

And to further strengthen the claims, reports suggested that Guns N' Roses has been offered to play at Coachella for quite some time already.

"Guns already has an offer from Coachella for a long time," the report said. "It was only a matter of solving their issues."

"European festivals are also anxiously awaiting for a resolution for all Guns related problems."

I'll bet that once scalpers get ahold of the tickets, it'll be a lot more than $350.

When Van Halen played their first comeback show with Dave at Staples Center, tickets were $2k for the upper seats.

I don't see how they think they can sell out stadiums? They have not been relevant for 25 years.

GnR canceled a show at Arrowhead before and ****ed the fans over-I wouldn't count on them not doing it again.

Old band-1 good record-not original line up-asshole lead singer-high ticket prices= half filled stadiums.

Nothing but a money grab rip off. Pass.

Listening to Appetite for the first time in a while right now, what a slab of raw meat it is... no wonder its still the biggest selling debut album of all time

But the crazy prices being bandied about for a reunion without Adler and Izzy is laughable

I'll just sit here and jam like its still 1987 all over again for free

It'll be the promotion company that loses their ass if GNR doesn't sell out or at least get 90% capacity in these venues, not GNR.

The biggest issue for this tour was guaranteed money, of which GNR wanted a minimum of $3-5 million per night, depending on the venue.

So if there's only 35,000 tickets sold at Arrowhead at an average of $100 per, the promoter is going to lose his ass.

That said, I'm sure this was all researched before the tour was announced because no one wants to lose money.

In case you all hadn't heard, GNR is doing a show at the Troubador tonight in WeHo, which is one the first places they gigged at during the 80's. There was a crazy ass line on Sunset Blvd. today for people that wanted free tickets.

A few people mentioned to me today that they don't think that cell phone video will be allowed but it'll be interesting to see what goes up on YouTube and/or the reviews after tonight's show.

If there was any place to see GNR, the Troub is it.

Me thinks this AC/DC gig might be a barometer too...if he can pull it off (doing rock staple covers), then the road "back" just got easier.

I expect the band to be "on" every night but as always, Axl is question mark.

For sure. It seems like a super risky gig but maybe his body and voice are in shape.

I'll see them in two weeks at Coachella so we'll see.

If anyone is interested in seeing the live webcast, go here: https://www.coachella.com/

They headline Saturday night. You should be able to catch reruns later in the night and through the weekend.

They are getting a guaranteed $3-$5 million per show. Not counting merchandising.

You can fit 100K in most of those stadiums. Thats only $50 of the ticket to GnR to meet the guarantee. Still a lot of profit to be had by the promoters.

No where near 100K when you factor in the stage blocking off 15,000 seats or more.

Totally agree with those who say Adler and Izzy were the magic, Adler hits with great power but plays loose at the same time, he totally sets the table here... and Izzy was the perfect foil, he provided the discordant background to offset Slash' melodies

Their most underappreciated song of all IMO, an all time performance of it here...

They don't have enough good songs for a stadium show. Few bands do. Springsteen. Stones. Macca. Eagles. Beyond those bands, the show would consist of 45 minutes of good material and 45 minutes of noodling and songs no one cares about. Not worth more than thirty bucks tops with parking. IMO, Slash is over exposed anyway. he's crisscrossed with Axl soundalike Miles n Co, so anyone wanting to pay to see/hear already spent. The only reason to shell out would be spectacle. Maybe Slash smashes a guitar over Axl's head.

If Slash smashed a guitar over Axl's head, that would really be something.

I wonder what would happen next.
