QB's to watch this year?

Who are the top QB's I need to watch on Saturday with the full understanding there's a <0% chance they'll end up playing football in Kansas City more than once a year?

Lynch will get pushed up into the top 10....especially if the other QBs have issues.

Maybe.

The Mid major factor isn't helping though. He'll be a big combine, etc player to watch.

Chiefs will never see him at this point with a weak schedule remaining and Lynch absolutely surging.

Oh wells...
Only one season of great production and in a weak conference...Still feels like a mid 1st pick to me.

The conference actually isn't weak this year, 3 top 20 teams.

Lynch had a pretty rough game overall. Had some pretty major accuracy issues. had a few flash plays though. One really nice place where he pump faked a defender and hit a RB. Didn't get to watch Cook. Watching Goff now.

Goff had a pretty bad game as well, pretty similar to Paxtons game. A few flash plays and, and then a bunch of junk, as well as accuracy issues. For all of the great qualities Goff has i wonder if he doesn't have the "It" factor. He almost never seems to be able to go when it's time to go. It's kind hard to gauge because he's surrounded by shit. But it's still concerning.

Boy it almost seems as if this year has a crop of QBs whose roofs are "solid starter" to "average backup."

Doesn't seem to be a real boom year for QBs.

With the exception of Cook, I'd take any of these QBs and let them sit for a year GUARANTEED. Make him 3rd string behind Alex and probably Murray for one season.

Hackenberg needs a year to assimilate into an offense, but he could be the best of all these guys.

Cal has two really good WRs, a so-so OL, a bad running game, and a really suspect D. Oregon's pass D is awful and Goff should of lit them up.

Right now Goff is not the best QB in the Pac12, that is WSUs Luke Falk.

In news that should surprise no one, Trevone Boykin made about 3 throws the entire TCU-OSU game that would be NFL-level throws. Everything else was dink-dunk spread stuff.

He did throw a nice deep ball on one occasion and show off good wheels. He's going to be a fine NFL WR.

I still thing there are 3 or 4 qbs in this draft worth yaking, but they'll need to sit for a bit, which is what should happen anyway

The dink and dunk spread stuff is what New England and Denver run.

WSU Homer... lol

Lawer and Treggs aren't bad, but that Cal O line is horrendous. Most teams get a lot of pressure with 4, and Oregon got consistent pressure with 3. Doesn't matter how good or bad a team has been. No QB is going to light them up if they're getting heat with 3 guys.

I think the biggest issue with Goff in Cal right now is just their overall lack of execution. They aren't running the ball well, and they aren't doing anything with their inside screens both of which account for like 60% of their play calls. And then Goff is having to be really efficient with the rest of his plays (usually 3rd and longs) and he's not getting it done.

Yes. I still say that Gesser was the better QB the year Palmer won his Heisman. Falk's numbers bear it out. He has only had one really bad game against PSU. From the Rutgers game out he has been on fire.

I think they are pretty good. Better than most teams have. I can only think of USC and WSU as having a top pair of WRs that are better or equal.

True. That is WSUs biggest gain from this year from last year. OL is much more solid. People think that the air raid is all about the QB and WRs but OL plays a huge part of it.

Cal's D was feasting off TOs during their win streak. The lack of TOs are really exposing Cal's lack of talent on O and D. They are coming back down to earth. I still think they make a bowl though.
