Things to understand if you're going to post in Royals threads all year:
1) Base runners rarely steal on a first pitch unless they've been on base before that instance and had a chance to get a look at the pitcher and work him over. Typically, they need at least one and potentially two throw-overs before they can get a good lead and jump. That's how you make it a high-percentage play. 2) You can't on one hand complain about guys not hitting for enough power and also complain about too many pop-ups. To hit for power, you have to have loft in your swing. If you fail to square up a ball on a lofted swing, you're at high risk for hitting a lot of pop-ups. Kind of baseball 301.
