The Twins are in for a fun lil 3 games wouldn't you say?


My first game thread and the way things are going, I like the Royals odds this game.


Interesting fact for this game: Duffy is 3-0 with a 1.35 ERA in four career games at Target Field. Duffy has no explanation for his success there. "Just a coincidence, I'm guessing," he said. "I do like the park. It's really nice." This will be the first time Duffy will start in a team's home opener. "I just got to take the pill and throw it and keep it rolling for us," he said.

I'm not too worried about Hosmer, though I really wish he would start eating whatever it is that Moose has been eating for breakfast.

Infante is an old and foolish man. I find it hard to believe that we can't find a better hitter on this team who can play 2nd base almost as well as Infante.

NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York Yankees have signed right-hander Kyle Davies to a major league contract and called him up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Davies has not pitched in the majors since 2011, when he sustained a shoulder injury that required surgery. Davies is 43-65 with a 5.59 ERA in seven seasons with Kansas City and Atlanta. He may be best known for allowing new teammate Alex Rodriguez's 500th career homer on Aug. 4, 2007.

To make room for Davies on the 25-man roster, the Yankees designated left-hander Matt Tracy for assignment Sunday, a day after he gave up three unearned runs in his big league debut.

New York called up Tracy after its bullpen was depleted in the 19-inning loss to Boston on Friday night.

Just looked this up. Salvy had 25 PA in the first 6 games. Out of those 25 first pitches, he took 19 of them and swung at 6. Of those 6 first pitches that he swung at, he put 4 of them in play. Of those 4 first pitches that he put in play, he is 2/4 with a double.

So, I'm guessing that Salvy is looking for a specific pitch at the beginning of his AB and he won't swing if he doesn't get it.

Rios takes a good route to the long line drive unlike Aoki, and with his length he is able to make an easy looking catch. 2 outs.
