if healthy Branch is just a better talent than Abdullah and you just paid 30 million to Parker so he's starting no matter what.

Abdullah who is paid peanuts is not beating either guy out if they are both healthy, they are both faster and better. It's a GREAT trio to have though. Like top 5/top 3? in the league. I can't think of a better trio I'd rather have right now besides Seattles.

Ummm.....a 210 lb TED backer?

Yeah...that's not going to work. Poe's good, but Christ, he'd just get doubled every time and any time a guard gets to the 2nd level, he'd eat Branch for lunch.

There's no way to use those three in a base offense, IMO.

I like Parker, I feel very comfortable with him branch and Abdullah at safety. Only RT, Wr2, left as major needs.

If Branch is healthy we would probably run 3 safeties. Big nickel packages seem to be the new 'thing' now.

that's what they did last year with Parker-Coleman-Abdullah so I expect the same with Parker-Branch-Abdullah

Taking away the contract talk, I really do like the safety position as a whole now with Branch, Abdullah and Parker.

With Sanders Commings coming back at a cheap rookie deal, we'll have some quality depth there.

I'd still like to draft a S to add to the mix because Commings and Branch do have an injury history so they aren't dependable.

It's not a base defense, it's the nickel. We are in that quite often, which is why Josh Mauga won't see the field much.

Definitely not a major need. We certainly could use some depth, but if dj is truly good to go like Reid says, then we are good to go with him, mauga, and jmj. Id like to see them bring in another ilb though.

TE2 is a definite need. So is ILB.

To me, round 1 can go anywhere but I'm expecting OL, ILB, TE, or WR.
