Game feels heavier than Madden 17 and the visuals are darker. I've seen a few catches where the WR dove when they didn't need to and then just laid on the ground till they were touched down. I'm only playing the 10hr trial though. I'll wait for the first patch release to buy the full game

You can easily adjust your brightness/contrast in settings, whiner.

I'm pretty impressed with it. I think frostbite has made gameplay pretty smooth. There is a little bit of chopiness, but all in all good. Patch will need to fix a few things, but it's doable.

I've encountered a couple issues, but nothing huge yet. There's an odd issue when you dive for a TD that the player just lays there a while. Looks pretty strange. I had one play when I was playing in Longshot that a player came out in another team's uniform. I've had a couple minor instances of choppiness but nothing game breaking yet.
First pass on this new engine so I do expect a couple bugs they need to work out. Overall, way better feel and better looks than last year's version. I play ultimate team and so far, not impressed. They are pushing microtransactions a bit too hard. Hoping this isn't the way it goes in the future but likely it will.

It's frustrating when a $60 game requires even more money to get the full experience from.

I played Longshot Friday night.
it was ok, I suppose. didn't feel like I really did anything during the game play etc. It was definitely like watching a movie with the occasional input here and there. At the end I had the choice to go to the Chiefs, or Broncos. I'm curious if one were to play it through again, if you would get drafted higher etc. Don't think i want to endure the whole thing again to find out. managed to play a few games over the weekend. I had planned on basically gaming my entire weekend, but life stuff happened and I was only able to play about 5 games. Overall i really like the feel of it. I game target passing a shot, but it was just too difficult to get the hang of very quickly, and I didn't want to spend my time learning it. I'll probably give it another shot though. I'm playing on Sim, with the Pro Level (or I think they call it intermediate this year). Man, I'm having a hard time running the ball. I haven't messed with any sliders. I'm going to continue to work at it. After a few hours of getting stonewalled, I realized it's just easier to pass as I would get about the same yards, or more, than a run. Hopefully, I'll be able to dive into it more this week and get many more games under my belt before I start making any changes to sliders. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. Definitely looks and feels better. Are those improvements worth $70?....that's a whole different discussion.

I like it less this year than in past years because it does feel very micro-transaction driven and a lot of the good players I'm getting from challenges aren't auctionable. The sets upgrade individual players one level at a time so I know unless I buy packs I won't be able to get them up to their really elite status and I don't ever spend actual money on micro-transactions. That leaves me spending on packs with the money I gain from challenges and auctions which are very hit or miss. I still enjoy the challenge though and there are new daily challenges every day so it keeps it fresh. I guess for me I always feel like if I'm not improving I'm standing still. This is a way to constantly be doing that in the game in a way I can't really do if in standard Madden.

I only paid $25 so for me it is. I definitely don't think it's worth the full price of the game. If I was to get it outside of the pre-order deal I got, I'd probably wait for Black Friday deals. The bad part of that is you miss out playing for half the season. I get really into Madden this time of year and usually that lasts until the Chiefs get knocked out and then I pretty much hang it up.

This game ****ing sucks...No Oline pass protection, running back gets like 1 yard a carry, receivers can't hang onto the ****ing ball and the animations are all ****ed up. Not to mention they dive for passes that they dont need to dive for constantly. Im in franchise playing as Mahomes..went from all pro down to pro, adjusted sliders..doesn't seem to matter. The team around me ****ing can't do anything. I'll throw for 400 yards 3 tds and still lose. Might try mut, never played it before..or just say **** it and go back to mlb the show

Granted, I haven't played that many games yet, so hopefully it, or I, improve. I think I definitely need to adjust the speed threshold a bit. Getting caught from behind by a fatty from the backside before I even get outside the strong side tackle sucks. I have, however , really been paying attention to my pass blocking, and shifting blocking and or keeping in a blocker on pass plays. Years past I would just line up and run it. I was getting smoked in the first few games this past weekend. There's still the occasional complete whiff by an OL letting a downlineman / non blitzer come through untouched. And play action still appears worthless, no matter how many times you run, or how successful you've been. Seems no one bites on the PA, and more often than not just end up eating it. I know, you can R2 to call off the PA before you hand off, but al,oust every time there's no time as I'm immediately sacked.
