The flavor is fine, I just prefer texture in a taco. Sour cream is OK smooth, but I even prefer lumps in my salsa and gauc to indicate fresh diced ingredients. If it's the only creamy/saucy thing you're putting on the tacos, the flavor kick is a plus. But if you're already putting SC, guac, salsa, etc, it'll turn out like those Whoppers with tons of mayo, ketchup AND mustard, a gloppy slippy mess.

There's some kind of unwritten "rule" that you don't serve fish with cheese. The French and Italians break it pretty regularly, so I don't know why you couldn't with tacos.
