Chiefs holding vote for new TD song

The Chiefs tried this shit years ago and it didn't work because the fans got pissed. I'm guessing this is once again revolving around Gary Glitter being a pedo piece of shit and the Chiefs wanting to distance themselves from that.

http://www.kcchiefs.com/tdsongvote/

You can select from:
1) “Hey, Kansas City!” by David George & A Crooked Mile
2) “Song 2” by Blur
3) "Let Me Clear My Throat" by DJ Kool

I guess Song 2 by Blur is the best of the bunch.

Voting ends 31 August.

Here is the YouTube version from the band, there is no "We're gonna beat the...." in the song here, so I think it's been added afterwards. In which case, I give the Chiefs props to that.

While switching to a new touchdown song is a shift from what many in Chiefs Kingdom have come to enjoy over the years, with the help of the local songwriter, David George, the new touchdown song will include Chiefs fans’ beloved “You, You, You” fan chant.
Guess they didn't go full reerun...

As I mentioned earlier, the Chiefs don't have to "pay him" a dime.

It's all about "Protecting The Shield", which Roger Goodell has done so well during his tenure.

When the Chiefs score, instead of sending Warpaint out there, release a bunch of alter boys and let a Gary Glitter look a like chase them around in a Pope Costume....

We're gonna rape the Hell outta YOU
You
You
YOU YOU YOU.

That should scare the opposition. Or at least disgust and offend them to an all new level.

If they were hell bent on changing it, they should have gotten together with a popular local artist like Tech N9ne and work with him to create a specific song and chant.

Yeah. Because the typical season ticket holder wants to head a rap song.

I just used Tech N9ne as an example because he's what I know. I'm sure there are tons of other local artists they could have reached out to in order to make a specific song.

This song is really bad and has too much of a "SCUDDILY BOOP BOM BAM!" 50's swing vibe that I despise.

Jovan Belcher didn't die for this shit.

Well since they added the chant I guess it's not as bad.

I was very disappointed when I was at the Seahawks game this pre season and my girlfriend and I still did the "We're gonna beat the hell outta you" chant, but most of the crowd just didn't know what to do and basically stood/sat in silence after the initial score.

Welp, tomorrow will be interesting. So far the crowd hasn't attached itself to anything and TDs have sucked.

I am thoroughly shocked that a collective of PC asswipes would want to "get rid of the chop".

How about just getting rid of them?

Ammo don't cost much.
