Lucas should just go ahead and CGI over Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. You know he probably has thought about it.

I only looked out the projection booth window for a minute but, from what I saw, the "3D" is poor and does nothing to add anything to the film. It's still a crap-ass stupid movie. As for how it'll do, we had four midnight sneaks last night:
Safe House: around 115 people Phantom Crapfest: around 80 people The Vow: around 40 people Journey 2 3D: 0 people (LOL) |

I lost count of the number of times I saw Star Wars in the theater. It played for over a year and a half and I saw it as often as my mom would drop me off. So if I never see it on the big screen again, that's okay, really. I've seen it plenty.

Yea, it's not meant for me and you. Lucas is banking on a new generation of fans to support these. Kind of how Disney does with its re releases.

Why pay out the ass to see one, maybe two cool scenes in this entire film? And you can't even enjoy the lightsaber duel because it's sandwiched between a giant, editing cluster**** of an ending.
The editor of Episode I TOLD Lucas, to his face, in the screening room, that the ending was convoluted (Qui-Gon dies, cut to Jar-Jar being a stupid ass, cut to Jake Lloyd, back to Maul, etc.) and didn't work emotionally. Then Lucas just blew him off and claimed the ending was "stylistic." |

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere in here, but I figured I'd post it just in case.
I can still remember how excited I was for Episode 1 as a kid (I think I was 11 when it came out) and how extremely disappointed I was after the fact. I've probably seen it 2 or 3 times total and intend to keep it that way. Jackass. |
