Well Beckett is no slouch this year, he's ERA is pretty muich right there with Petes. 2.01 and 2.11

Puig seemed pretty upset with slamming his bat etc. I thought he was doing better this year with not letting his emotions control him.

He's an emotional player. He's always going to play with it. Nothing wrong with getting mad at yourself. He's show the ability to adjust to whatever is happening with him. He's more patient, he's cut back on stupid plays. He still makes them, but he's cut back alot. I couldnt be happier with how he's progressing. He's also playing hurt right now.

Of course its not supposed to intimidate him. Puig players with emotion he's serious out there. He's a different kind of player and for one im glad he's not doing the normal boring ass bullshit we been see'ing for far to long. He makes people want to watch the Dodgers play.

They showed a graphic on the Cardinals broadcast comparing Puig and Matt Adams stats since they began their major league career. Close to Puig but Puig gets all the publicity and no one outside of St. Louis knows Adams.

There is a whole bunch of reasons for that. Its, him coming from cuba and what he went through. The way he plays the game, the mental mistakes he can make, the amazing plays he can make. Dude hit a triple yesterday in KC by hitting the ball down the LEFT FIELD line. Thats pretty insane. Thats a RARE thing to do. Lets not forget that when he got called up the Dodgers went 42-8 and started his first 3 months or so batting .400

So at what point do you look at what Craig is doing this year and think "maybe we should bring Taveras up, put him in right all the time and let Craig be a bench bat"?

I'm sure it comes off here that I don't like Craig, I do, but he just doesn't currently bring to the table what he once did. It was easy to overlook the other deficiencies when he was hitting and driving the baseball.

But if you're right fielder is gonna have the slash line he's having, you can't afford to keep the best hitting prospect in baseball who happens to be a RF'er in AAA

You don't call up OT without benching Craig. I'm assuming that benching Craig could cause some issues in the locker room. It seems like a big deal to just change a players slot in the line up. I don't understand that at all. How did you batting 2nd instead of 3rd or 6th instead of 5th become a diss? I'm assuming that Matheny has no intention to play OT, thats why he is still in AAA.

Well, Craig hitting .250 should cause some locker room issues. It's a business.

You could bring Oscar up and let Craig be a bench bat/4th OF'er and do away with Shane Robinson.
