Wasn't it explained that the Ewoks actually instilled Star Wars fandom into a young group of kids that would turn into a mega cash cow?

Why is everyone so anti-Abrams? Star Trek is actually worth throwing some coin down on, and going to a theater to see again.

Dude, the original ST was NOT great acting or super intelligent either. The science was as made-up as you could possibly muster. The new ST has captured the spirit of the original characters quite well IMO.

I really liked Abrams Trek. Frankly he made it fun again. I think it had become boring and stale in the late 90s and early 2000s and the TV ratings and box office grosses confirm this.
He made it relevant again. The only thing I didn't like about Into Darkness was the Khan rehash thing, but other than that it was fine. I understand why a lot of old school Trekkies didn't like Abrams Trek though. Anytime something is different than what your used to your gonna get alot of pushback.

If Abrams can add a scene that debunks the concept of midichlorians in any of these movies he will restore power to the force.

Seriously, I'd like to get a version of TPM without all that shit. I think it could be cut out without messing up the rest...oh who am I kidding...that's just one of MANY things that ****ed up the prequels...

If you simply cut out all the garbage and didn't re-shoot anything, the film would be 7 minutes long.

Abrams is solid, and certainly should do a better job than Lucas did with episodes 1-3. |
