I mean when they start to squeeze the salary cap. Right now we’re still paying relatively little on many of our long term deals.

And I’m seeing some decent role players, but Veach hasn’t drafted anyone with pro bowl potential in the last several years with the exception of possibly Clyde (who has been a slight disappointment so far imo).

Solid starters are nice but eventually we’ve gotta be able to find some true impact players. Because our current ones aren’t getting any younger or cheaper.

Eventually we’ll get passed by if we don’t start drafting better.

Very true; I don't think we can count on Herbert making the same bonehead plays and gifting games. AFC West looks very competitive with the exception of the Broncos.

Thornhill would have been pro bowler last year without the injury.

Jones' cap hit is $16M this year. That's not chump change. But the reality is these other teams will have to pony up for their guys too. Just a matter of time.

Chiefs only have 2 problems - acquired too many impact players to pay them all, and havent acquired enough impact players.

Chiefs have been one of the better teams in the draft the last 5 or so years.
