He's great, but his stats are inflated by the dome. So were Peyton Manning's stats for the Colts. Mahomes has played 100% of his games outdoors. Would love to see what his numbers would look like playing 70% indoors.

I don't give two shits about an MVP award. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever even commented on Mahomes vs Brees this entire season.

I only took issue with you saying Brees was "absolutely better" than Manning in 2009. You can make a case but unequivocally? Nah.

Historically Brees is a great prolific quarterback. One of the most respected

But he’s having an Alex Smith like year

I don't think anyone(Chiefs fans) would take Mahomes for MVP over a Superbowl Appearance, seems a false narrative. Perhaps non Chiefs/Mahomes fans would but who cares.

There have been 12 bazillion QBs play in a dome, including Manning. A QB has thrown for 5000 yards in a season 9 times in history. Brees has 5 of those. None of those other dome QBs is even in the ballpark of that.

I mean in reality what all of these guys are doing doesn't compare to what a guy like Marino did in a completely different era of football. If you look at the top 25 passing seasons of all time most all of them are in the last 10 years except for Marino. But even within that group what Brees has done is pretty impressive.
